Why aren't there more Christmas-themed games?

Blue Stinger was the shit. Who could ever forgot Christmas on Dinosaur Isle with Dogs Bower? The Christmas music was infectious. And it's an odd Christmas game because it was released in September. I miss weird games like this.

This is exactly what I was about to post. The Christmas music in this game just felt so...out of place. It almost upped the creep factor for me when I played it as a kid.

Nobody told Duke Nukem that!

Alot of people disliked the fact that they basically retooled existing levels rather than creating all new ones, but I enjoyed the idea of revisiting the first two levels from the game during Christmas time after the events of Duke 3d so you could see some changes in the environment like the construction crew working on the Quake building.

That said, I would have loved to have had a new set of Christmas themed weapons the same way that Duke Caribbean did, I mean, they really went all out in that expansion.

I've always enjoyed holiday events in MMO. Guild wars 2 is my favorite. For single player, I don't think I've played one that focuses on Christmas theme. Rune factory had them but they're more of gift event iirc.

I would like there to be more Christmas themed games.
Last year I made a list of Christmas games that were released on consoles and there isn't a lot of them.
A platformer like Daze Before Christmas would be great and I would definitely buy it.

I downloaded winter mod for Euro Truck Simulator 2 and put Driving Home For Christmas by Chris Rea on repeat. That counts as Christmas-themed in my book.

Not really your average christmas title but some of the Yakuza games are set during the holiday season.
Part 2 even plays Silent Night, Holy Night during the end credits.

Christmas movies are usually a family thing. People suggesting possible Christmas games on this thread should think about a family party game of sorts.

Elf Bowling and Christmas Nights, both budget or otherwise limited releases, might be the highest profile ones on console.

Christmas NiGHTS is included in the current Steam/ XBLA and PSN versions of the game as a hidden unlockable. Though a few modes are missing from this version, like Sonic into Dreams.
