As a college student, I've been noticing a trend with my classmates and their laptops. Those with Windows laptops, more likely than not, will still have the spec stickers on their laptops; as a design student, it annoys the hell outta me. People tell me they keep the stickers 'cause they 'look cool' (the holographic ones at least), but I find most - if not all - spec stickers are aesthetically ugly.
I've worked retail before, and the spec stickers are useful for advertising, well, the specs of the computer when it's being used as a display model. When you bought the laptop, and its yours for good, the function of advertising the specs are not needed anymore. It's like leaving the company tag on a piece of clothing.
I know a guy who has had his Razer laptop for years - with the spec stickers still on - and has worn the stickers out completely. There is now zero reason to keep it at that point, but he still keeps it on.
I can't be alone in hating this, am I?
