The 360 is out selling the PS3 so why would they need or want blu-ray? It would be a waste of time and money for MS. Their next console would not need blu-ray either. HD games look and play just fine on DVD without the need for installs or longer load times. If blu-ray overtakes DVD before the start of next gen, then that would be a different story.

There`s obviously a market for it, I don`t see why they wouldn`t just throw in a Blu Ray drive into an Elite and call it a day. It would take away the last remaining advantage of owning a PS3.

Why would developers make blu ray games that the other 10 million or so xbox consoles couldn't play. Think about that for a moment.

And that still doesn't change the fact that you said 'They aren't exactly burning up the charts', as to dismiss there being a market in BR movies. 'Let's see where they are 3-5 years from now' is meaningless, because right now reality doesn't support your original statement.
