I mean she's like 10 years older than Cavill, and she looks her age, takes me out every time because she looks so much older than him. Seems like bad casting, not that it matter much with a shitty script, but still.

Same reason Eisenberg plays Lex Luthor: shit casting.

To clarify: I just really don't like her on the role, her age is irrelevant
and she's super hot, so no issues there

She's seven years older than him and I personally don't notice it at all. A weird thing to complain about, if you ask me, given that 95% of movies demand the woman in romantic plots be 20 years younger than the man. Why is the reverse so unacceptable?

What's wrong with an older woman being with a younger man? Please explain.

Very much this.

Is there anything wrong with her performance ?

Yeah, OP is part of the problem why it's so hard for women to find roles after in their 30s and over.

What's wrong with Lois being older? She's supposed to be older. Margot Kidder was 4 years older than Reeve. Teri Hatcher was older than Dean Cain.

- She's actually credible as a seasoned, award winning journalist.
- She's still very attractive
- Superman not aging/aging slower while Lois does has been brought up multiple times in their history

The casting in Superman Returns was much worse. She was supposed to be 6 years older than the Margot Kidder version plus a mother, and she looked like she was fresh out of college.

Why not? she's a good actress who likes the role, and has done a good job.

Also, Older women dating young men exist. I smell a bit of good old misogynism.

Wut. Superman is some dude with a receding hairline.

I thought Eisenberg was really good as Luthor?

are you asking us if you thought so?

and wtf at amy adams looking older than cavill. he's a good looking dude but he looks a lot older than he is. i would have matched them at the same age tbh if i didn't know any better

also lois in the tub...phew

let her get her work. disgusting old goobers can be with women like 20 years younger on film but amy adams can't get it in...smh.

Hes an alien, who cares about age.

Also, she is a great actress who was offered a role in a major franchise if movies.

Working actress going to work.

7 years difference is nothing and it's always great to see a couple that doesn't fall for the gross Hollywood trope of the leading lady being young enough to be the leading man's daughter.

But lol at the idea of enjoying a movie about an alien who flies around in the sky and shoots laser beams out of his eyes but being taken out of the experience because oh no there's a woman!

Care to explain why an older woman dating a younger man is a problem? Because that's more or less the entire crux of your complaint here. I have issues with Adams as Lois, but her looks and age are not part of that in the slightest.

Seems more realistic to me since she's supposed to be an internationally renowned and Pulitzer-winning journalist.

Agreed, Adams isn't the issue with Batman vs Superman. Eisenberg went way way too zany on his Luthor.

I like watching her in these movies out of curiosity / pathos more than anything. She's by far the best actor on deck in these movies (Larry Fish is a legend but he has slowed down in recent years) She always looks like she's "screaming internally" in MoS / BvS

I like to think that Amy is just as aware as the audience how awful the dialogue is, it gives the films more emotional weight than Snyder could ever evoke with normal characters, I always think to myself, as tough as it gets in life, It will never be as bad as having to read lines in a Zack Snyder movie.

When you think about it, she's the
unintentional
emotional center of the movie.

Snyder, so smart, so under appreciated, so brave.

She is an incredible actress and they should be thankful she agreed. She get zone out and still be better than 90% of the women they had in mind for the role.
