That's interesting, I've never heard of this game or this scene but thanks for clarification. Is this accepted as canon?

Wing was the first to really double down on it. Sure Victory and F91 had dudes in masks, but Sechs had nearly the same back story and did the same shit.
Wing is basically 0079 > CCA condenced. EW is a lot of ZZ.

Pretty much. Most Gundam games aside from clearly established what-ifs (like Gihren's Greed) are considered canon.
ALTHOUGH, Some Sunrise execs have said that if it wasn't animated it's not canon. Even if it was produced by Sunrise (which all gundam games are) which makes zero sense

Lucas did use samurai as an inspiration for Jedis/Swordfighting but I actually did some deeper digging into this because this what I've heard over the years and I wanted to be sure I was right (or wrong)
So ANH came out in 1977, MSG in 1979. The character designer for char, Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, also previously worked on Brave Raideen which came out in 1975.
Brave Raideen has this villain, Prince Sharkin who in many ways seems to be the visual inspiration for Char.
So I guess we all learned something today.

I enjoy space jesus Gundam SEED. Though Destiny sucked.
Honestly worst part of SEED isn't even Kira, it's the introduction of dumb beam spam fights that plagued the series until IBO. IBO was such a breath of fresh air in the battle scenes.

Gundam, then known as Freedom Fighter Gunboy, also went into pre-production in 1977 when Zambot 3 production was winding down, whereas Star Wars didn't hit Japan until 1978. Granted I don't know when the character designs were really nailed down though

But Full Frontal is a fucking loser, sorry. What a waste of a character by the end of Unicorn.

Char is the best rival anime character of all time. Every scene that has Char in it makes me so excited. He just has an amazing presence and charisma you cannot help but like him and hate him at the same time. My favorite Char Clones are Harry Ord, Rau Le Creuset and Meijin Kawaguchi.

It was gonna be a full length show but shit happened so they made the episodes they had already into a movie. It seems very abrupt bc it basically went from episode 1 thru 3 to episode 49.
