Not a huge fan of Zechs, but Epyon is the best Gundam design ever, period.

I laughed out loud the first time I saw Epyon.

It looks like a goddamn toy for 12 year old kids who just discovered Hot Topic for the first time and it's very uncharacteristic of anything Zechs or Treize would pilot. Heero seemed at home piloting it, though.

Also, the feet have smiley faces on them and I can't un-see it.

Char's an asshole and I hate him and everything he represents. He's a bratty ass who's just as bad as the Zabi's, if not worse. At least some of the Zabi's were redeemable or had redeemable qualities... Can't really say the same about Char. I quite like how Char is kind of a "grey" character, but that also reflects with the OG series having good and bad people on either faction.

How his character develops over the series canon is interesting, too. To go from a guy wanting his "people" to have liberation, including an internal power conflict where he's the lesser of all evils, to eventually becoming a villain in the process, is cool as shit.

He's a manipulative person, too. For those who haven't seen it, watch the first season of The Origin. He pulls some dark fuckin' tricks, and he's supposed to be the hero of the story.

Interestingly, you post a picture of the Nu Gundam Ver. KA for an example of a cool UC suit.

KA is for Katoki, as in Katoki Hajime, a famous Gundam artist... who just happened to have designed the OZ mobile suits in Gundam Wing- including one of the best mobile suit designs of all time, Tallgeese.

I've always had a soft spot for the Hyaku-Shiki. Unlike the Mk.II, the Hyaku really felt like the next-gen suit they were trying to reach when Zeta was rolling. Zeta and ZZ both look sort of derived from elements of the Hyaku, but just don't do it as well.

I do agree, though, that the Sinanju is probably the best looking suit in the entire franchise.

Well Hyaku Shiki was originally the Delta Gundam in canon conceptual phase.

And it was designed by GOAT god emperor mecha designer, Mamoru Nagano after all.

I thought one of the most human moments in the series was Quattro joking with Apolly about how gaudy the Hyaku Shiki is.

Nu Gundam is the greatest hero mobile suit. I love how it's a really direct evolution of all of Amuro's mobile suits. Also fin funnels are awesome and really make the design from a 10/10 to a 12/10 design.

Barbatos Lupus Rex is probably my favorite Gundam design. I loved the extremely skinny waist but hated it initially. Kimaris Vidar is also extremely beautiful. I think the F91 is also a great design along with GP01 Fb Zephyranthes. Ez8 is also nice.

This is Gundam Unicorn, and Crunchyroll has it streaming for free.

Unicorn is literally a giant fanservice gift to all UC Gundam fans and I encourage everyone to watch it. Probably the best battle footage in terms of quality animation in the entire franchise.

Can't believe he hasn't been mentioned yet. He was the inspiration for Char just like Belmondo was the inspiration for Cobra and Simon Belmont. Anything related to Aznavour and Belmondo is beloved by default.
