Sony is anti-consumer because they ask for the highest prices milking their customers every way they can. Want a second controller for your PS5 to play the new games, pay up bitch! Talking about those new games, they also come with new prices 80 euros in Europe that's 90+ in US $. Are you kidding me?

They ask for payed online and offer a subpar service in comparisson probably because they still rent their server space from AWS and don't own their own. That's why their first party games are closing servers all the time. Oh and my digitally bought PS3 games, yeah forget about them they will never be BC. I have no trust in their eco system at all. It's still the only of the three console game companies to getting hacked and I had to go through the hassle because my CC info got stolen, and when the discdrive of my PS3 gave up two weeks out of waranty they dared to ask 150 bucks to fix it. I'm so glad I ditched that brand! I went with Xbox and never looked back ever since, it's that great.

GPU is the deal of the century in gaming. UInfortunately everything here was sold out in about 30 seconds of pre-orders going up for the XSX and XSS. But hey I hear from reputable sources the XSS is still available in Finland and the VAE, the salty tears from Sony fanboys come as a pre-order bonus I heard so there's that!

The difference is that the studios are now under the umbrella so they are private. Sony has picked up studios as well Insomniac being an example. In a perfect world this would not happen but at the end of the day if it is a privately owned studio it is much easier to understand than a moneyhat.

What would have happened if Sony acquired Zenimax/Bethesda and the PC/Xbox/Nintendo users were up shit creek? I would say the same thing. It is now a Sony studio and as such they are first party to Sony.

This is business and it swings both ways. I imagine in the future Sony will leverage resources to take some third party studios under their wing.

Final result is still the same, they're locking people out.

No but those weren't studios who made games for Xbox for years and years either. Buying someone like Playground or Undead Labs who made games for your system anyway isn't that big a deal. Buying a publisher who has made games on PlayStation for over a decade is kind of shitty.

Competition is good. Sony had been taking shots already making exclusivity moves that pissed off a lot of gamers. Personally, I couldn't care less. I buy all systems. But those moves by Sony set the tone.

The difference is, MS has big swinging dick money and Sony does not. Sony took out a stick and poked a bear.

Going forward we shall see how it works out, but I've not heard nor seen anything to suggest MS is going to do much if anything "anti-consumer" insofar as the Zenimax studios are concerned. So far they've said they're honoring all prior existing deals. And going forward it will be case by case.

Like Sony, MS loves money. They likely will release most Zenimax studios games multiplat. But, on the other hand, I don't think there is a Sony fanboy alive who would ever say that Playstation owning studios and producing exclusives is somehow anti-consumer. Much of SonyGAF hasn't been able to shut up for 7 years how Sony exclusives are a source of pride and why they prefer PlayStation.

So, we have to apply the same standard to Xbox. I believe they like money most of all so expect most titles to release on all platforms. But it is of course well within their rights to utilize this massive expenditure in myriad ways, which will likely include the occasional Xbox exclusive in order to entice more people onto the platform.

They have said that all first party games will launch on Gamepass, so that includes any ZeniMax studio games since they are now part of Microsoft studios.
