Isn't everything still running on PCs at the moment?
I was reading the newspaper and saw an Xbox One article and they posted some specs:

Notice the GPU at 800 MHz.
because the SYSTEM is not 50% more powerful,
the GPU is 50% more powerful... the system as a whole less so
and real life is different than theory

It means prettier visuals and better running games.I doubt the mainstream will care, a more powerful console means nothing.
I posted this in the X1 DC rumor thread:
Does this means much?
I doubt the mainstream will care, a more powerful console means nothing.
Because in the end, the difference between the two will be minimal, much like it was last generation.

PS4 only has 50% of the HDMI ports.
Of course MS could champion the Kinect specs, but nobody really cares about those.

It's not everything, but it's definitely not nothing.
Yeah probably but to me was weird since all the other specs were in line with what MS announced. They are the leaked specs which have never been repudiated by any source (except unconfirmed reports of a GPU downclock here on GAF). I doubt MS randomly gave them out to that newspaper, so they're probably using those leaked specs for the article.
Prettier visuals and running better could also be linked to other factors like how far along the game is (or how rushed it was) and the ease of development. It means prettier visuals and better running games.
It's not everything, but it's definitely not nothing.
Unless the XB1 has ports similar to the PS3 Bayonetta fiasco, then yea that will hurt MS. But they won't so it's not really an advantage.
The strongest [mainstream] console hasn't won a gen since the snes.
Gamers just haven't been shown to care en masse

Yeap. He said from what he's seen and heard, the third party multiplatform titles will do the talking. Which makes me think the PS4 already has superior versions of certain games.
Did MS release the official specs for the Xbone GPU yet? If they haven't then it's obvious that it is considerably weaker compared to the PS4 going by the earlier leaks.
Is Sony hiding something? I noticed the E3 specs do not mention the 176gb/s GDDR5 bandwidth any more, is the rumors that Sony has to downclock again true?
