Give Compile Hearts some help on budgets and they will be the next Atlus or even Square Enix!

It's way WAY more popular here.Popular where, in Japan?

Who is buying all of these games?/QUOTE]
I own all the ones that are on Vita and the PS4 one, have not played them all yet, but I like the humor, the dumb plot and even if they reuse assets, I find funny that some of the common enemies are literally a PS4 with cat ears, and others are a Visuals novel screen, a Mario Pipe, a Ghost from Pac-Man, etc.
I find this games quiet entertainment, and if I had to ask something about then, that would only be: Where does the Top Nep meme come from?
You, apparently.Who is buying all of these games?
I've played a few of the games, including the original Hyperdimension Neptunia on PS3. The ones I have played have been... OK, I guess?
Never knew about this. A quick Google later and im interested. How is the ps4 entry?
Megadimension Neptunia VII (as in V2 or Victory 2, not the roman numeral for seven) is generally considered to be the best entry point to the series right now. There are previous games in the continuity that it occasionally references (particularly Neptunia Victory/its remake Neptunia Rebirth 3,) but not to the point where you absolutely need to play them to understand what's going on. If you like that one, then consider hitting up some of the remakes (Rebirth 1/2/3) and spinoffs (Neptunia U, Nep vs. Sega Hard Girls, etc.)
Everyone in this thread could be fucking joking and I would have no idea. There are so many entire worlds of creativity and fandom that go blazing right past me that hearing about this series is about 2 steps away from questioning my own reality.

Same reasons why Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, and Pokemon are so popular. Hyperdimension is a great alternative if you played or are sicked of all the mainstream RPGs already.
They are charming, fun, humorous, accessible, and enjoyable.Character designs are better than what you would get in Final Fantasy(unless you like to play as boy bands). Shame they don't have the marketing or budget behind them or they would sell as well as Persona.
Someone like Microsoft or Nintendo should buy Compile Heart as they are cheap and should fill the void of Japanese RPGs in their lineup.
Some conflicting answers here, is it boobs or pedos?

What if I told you that Nobuo Uematsu helped compose the soundtrack for Victory II?Put down the bong!
What if I told you that Nobuo Uematsu helped compose the soundtrack for Victory II?
If that was all it took to become the next Square, then Mistwalker would be the current Square instead of making surfing games for phones.
Friendly reminder.

One is a miraculous undertaking in localization, the re envisioning of a classic from almost 20 years ago... the other is Neptunia.

You should know by now Steam reviews are more worthless than Metacritic user score. Reviews on Steam are mostly just memes.Friendly reminder.

Curious question. Is Megadimension Neptunia any good? I played the original Neptunia game and absolutely hated the gameplay. Have they improved on that aspect of the game in all the iterations?
