So I've been playing VF Ultimate Showdown and am enjoying it quite a bit. Now that VF is more fresh in my mind, here are the reasons why I think its not as popular as Tekken:

-Boring presentation
-Lack of character endings
-Very basic character designs
-Music not as memorable

Basically, VF plays really well but I do think its bland.

Because it came out on freakin Playstation, the same way some games 'failed' for the sole reason of coming out on a failed console, I can think of many examples.

Because Tekken came out on PS and had a ton of TV ads.

And that shit definitely sold much more than it deserved.
