As a Sony/Nintendo only user pretty much, I've always wanted to play Bully in HD. I have the Bully Wii version which has very awkward controls (beat it twice anyway) and I first played it on PS2.

I know the PS2 classic edition is available...whoopdeedo.

I guess I just feel like PS3 got the shaft here, and Bully is one of my favorite games.

So what gives? I mean maybe PS3 sales would have generated enough sales/interest for a sequel. Red Dead on PS2 didn't do that great but the PS3/360 sequel sold great after all.

Didn't Bully Scholarship Edition got out when PS3 was not selling well (before the slim)? iirc many some publishers were kinda avoiding the system back then then stuff changed.

If it helps the pc version is hd and would run on even a garbage laptop, you could plug a pc into your tv and use a ps3 controller.

Just play it on PC.

There are some tweaks for it like to remove the 30fps cap.

Prolly a combination of the PS3's slow start and it being fully BC an able ta play the original PS2 disc.

Wii60 was a thing for a while so Rockstar weren't too bothered about porting over "lessor" games like Bully & Table Tennis to the PS3.

It was originally a ps2 exclusive so the scholarship edition was probably just to get it onto other platforms.

It doesn't look that much different to me anyway, and the original game released in the same year as the backwards compatible PS3.

Did the PC version come out before the 360 version? I would guess having a PC version (or working on it at the same time) made the 360 port fairly easy. PS3 would have been a lot more work.

yeah I think many people forgot the start of last gen and how PS3 wasn't selling well and not getting all the games from shirt party publishers.(can't blame anyone that was like 8 years ago) it wasn't before the slim that things changed for PS3.

No Wii and Xbox 360 version got released first before the PC. it's really seems Rockstar thought PS3 version wasn't going to be profitable for them.

I couldn't figure out why my 7970M i7 laptop had incredible stuttering every second, like repeated frames. Made the game unplayable. So I haven't been able to really play this game.

It was announced when all PS3s still had BC, and if anyone with a PS3 wanted to play Bully they could've bought the PS2 version. Combined with the PS3's slow start, it would've been silly to spend time and money to make a game people could already play.

The 360 version already ran like shit, maybe they tried porting it on PS3, saw the results and said fuck it. It's not like it would have sold a lot anyway.

Wasn't the SE edition of Bully made at a time when the PS3 still had PS2 BC? Maybe they just didn't think it was worth it.

But yeah, PS3 doing dogshit business back then probably played a part as well.
