We knew after the USA launch that the Wii would surpass the gamecube given enough time, but that it would dominate Japan in a year is shocking. There is no way it could hit Gamecube LTD for the USA for a while

GC is at slightly below 12 million in the US. As of November, Wii passed 6 million.

Thankfully Nintendo already surpassed the gamecube LTD in Japan and is very close to doing so (if it didn't already) in Europe.

If I'm not wrong given the most recent numbers it should be next week (nearly 200k to go, this week numbers were 220k and next week they'll be at least 300k). And since the week it's about to end, I think this particular target is being achieved in these very hours

GC's LTD shipment is 21.66 million.

Nintendo shipped 5.84 million Wiis by the end of March this year, and increased their Apr 07-Mar 08 fiscal forcast to 17.5 million on their last statement. By the end of March 2008, Nintendo plans to have shipped 23.34 million Wiis. So Wii shipments should surpass GC Jan/Feb 08, while sellthrough should pass GC Feb/Mar 08.

Sellthrough for DS will be ~60 million by now. Nintendo plans to ship 28 million this fiscal year, making a total shipment of 68.29 million by the end of March 08. GBA LTD shipments are 80.48 million.
