That is one hella weird resolution... Still I wonder if this fixes WiiU's scaling quirk on 240p. You know what I'm talking about.

Yay
Custom borders!
You can actually set it up as one per screen setting if you wish - I don't need anything but the big screen setting for Kirby so I've just copied that configuration for each display setting - but each with a different border on the TV and gamepad!
OMG can you post a guide how to do this?
for custom borders, all you do is replace the images in the textures folder inside assets
So i did it, but then realised the orientation of the file is set up for Brain age, has anyone got the text to shift it to a standard top screen on TV and bottom screen on gamepad?
Update brain age. You still have the old one.
Go to the eshop and redownload it.
If I were to buy a new WiiU from the stores
Would they be pre loaded with the latest firmware?
Can someone post a tutorial how to rip a disc WiiU game using PC and wiiU ?.
will give it a go, thanks.
edit - done it, same result, unsure we're talking about the same game, i'm on about the original Brain Training btw
That's quite the difference even if I ignore the higher resolution. But if the games stutter at 2x I can sort of understand not upping it just for the sake of providing a solid frame rate. But wouldn't further optimisation of the emulator have fixed that? If so they really should've done that at those prices yeah.i just did the basic setup and dumped my VC game to tweak settings and...man, those minimal tweaks make a world of difference.
i did notice some stuttering with 2x rendering. maybe they just wanted to avoid optimizing the emulator any further to keep constant fps and that's why they kept the rendering as base. i think they should have put the extra effort because, for the price they're asking, we deserve at least an option to toggle 2x rendering.
what the F...
i dumped OoT to have the data ready and, in the configuration folder, there's configuration settings for a lot of unreleased VC games. did anyone notice that?
weirdest of all, i spotted a config file for a 64DD game (Sim City 64)
could that mean 64DD games on Wii U VC at some point?
there's even config files for things like Banjo Tooie which is really weird, considering that can't be released on VC. maybe someone is pulling our leg...
Interesting that they've patched it rather than just use the ROM they've used for the GameCube. I believe in that one they've actually completely removed the original texture and replaced it rather than patching it. Thought I might be misremembering here. But I wonder, with the patch removed, is the music in the Fire Temple still the altered one? I doubt they've used an earlier ROM, but you never know.omg. i removed the patches from the patches folder and OoT loaded with the original Mirror shield symbol. that's insane lol!!
a bit hard to see but you can see the original Mirror Shield there.
this is not a rom inject/change because that hasn't been figured out yet.
Actually it's not that weird as you think. If you multiply by 5 you end up with 1280*960.That is one hella weird resolution... Still I wonder if this fixes WiiU's scaling quirk on 240p. You know what I'm talking about.
Does anyone think we'll be able to enable Pro Controller controls for DS games? That would be really good for certain games. I'd at least like to configure the gamepad controls. Why does Nintendo insist on making L and R the buttons for VC games when your fingers lay naturally on ZL and ZR?
Knowing Nintendo the reason is that they are labeled L and R. That said, what? Fingers lay naturally on both top and bottom shoulder buttons. Just, you know, different fingers.
I remember before the launch of the Wii that it was said that 64DD games might be possible. But they've never mentioned it again. They might have just done so for compatibility reasons. Same goes for BT. Might be because of DK64 since they're sharing the same engine.

I think I'm just too stupid to get it, tried everything as posted here and everywhere. Downloaded from post #128 which is for the newest fw 5.5.1 I think, got everything in the root/wiiu/apps/ and then the three loaders, but nothing.
Tried both cards again...

the Zelda rom is the latest N64 release which already removed the song. i tested just in case. only the very first printing of the N64 version had the original Fire Temple song.
If you guys are using the web browser exploit and locally host your files on your network, I have a little tip that might make things easier for you, in case you don't know about it!
If you're like me and you're using this exploit on your PC, you have to manually load the exploit on your PC every time you want to use it on your Wii U (provided you're not using a local server that's up 24/7, that is). Instead of having to go through the command line, you can use a .bat file to run it with a single double-click.
- Go to the folder where your exploit files are located.
- Right click > New > Text file.
- Open that file and paste the usual Java code inside:
Code:java -jar HaxServer.jar- Now save that file with a name you can recognize (i.e. kExploit) and change its extension to .bat. You should get something like "kExploit.bat".
- Double click it and... voila, the exploit is running. You can create a shortcut on the desktop for even easier access if you want (though you can't pin it to the Start Menu or Taskbar, unfortunately).
So you're telling me each time I want to switch my custom games I have to switch off the console und repeat the exploit?

Hell yeah! Flower, Sun and Rain at 2x rendering!
Oh, cool. It crashed for me when I tried that once, so I didn't attempt it again.Uh no
Exit to Wii U menu
Go back into Mii Maker.
Uh no
Exit to Wii U menu

Tried it twice just now, same here. This never works for me. Exiting to the Wii U menu sits on a white screen with Wii U in the bottom right corner. And sits there. And sits there...
Turning off and on is what I have to do.
What's the point in creating a *.bat file, if you can just double click on the HaxServer.jar to start it up.
Early days and all. This opens the scene up in a lot of ways. If the interest is there, it'll only get better. So you're telling me each time I want to switch my custom games I have to switch off the console und repeat the exploit?

Point me to where you said its specifically for running the Kexploit with command line, i can't see it...I specifically said that it can be useful for people using the exploit and the command line...
Just for running the Kexploit, you don't need the command line...You can see both the exploit and the command line.
