Am I the only one who finds the output of this company, as well as that of Nintendo's other Western 2nd party developers, to be fairly mediocre? I know it's likely they're making a Wii U game but I'm not sure why anyone cares so much.
To add to that...
To add to that...
AMD - Power of the console.
Nintendo - Wisdom that masterminded the console.
Crytek - Courage to venture out and conquer the new console.
The triforce pieces themselves align with each company's role.
THIS IS FREAKING ME OUT MAAAN

So I searched for Wii U on Google News and apparently there's a new rumor about it launching at $299, 299, and ¥20,000. Some site I never heard of (WiiUDaily) says it's from "the same source that brought us the Wii U system specs rumor."
Take that as you will.
20,000yen is 5,000 cheaper than the Vita is now and what the 3DS and Wii were at launch.
Where'd I leave my salt...
because excite truck and excitebots are the two best western nintendo games to be published by the company since 2000.
Are we expecting Miyamoto's new IP at launch or near launch window?
and GDC HYPE! Although I don't really expect much Wii U news. Unless there are some leaks abound.
I don't think I would expect Miyamoto's IP at launch, but we don't know how long he's been working on it, maybe it's been in development a long time with the intention of starting a new gen with it. One question I've asked many times is how many exclusives is reasonable to expect at launch? I have been thru many launches, but I still don't know what to expect, there will obviously be a lot of multiplat and ports, but how may Wii U exclusives in the launch window? Anyone care to take some guesses?
"In November 2011, Silicon Knights Knights' claimed they wanted to focus on one of their most requested titles for the next generation of consoles. This combined with the fact Nintendo had trademarked the title once again, spawned rumours that another Eternal Darkness game would be made as a launch title for the Wii U."
AMD + Nintendo + Crytek + Silicon Knights = CryEngine 3 run Eternal Darkness II.
I can dream.
CryEngine Wave Race would be all the launch title I need

http://wiiublog.com/blog/tag/ghost-recon-onlineHugues Ricour, the senior producer for Ghost Recon Online Arcade on the Wii U has said that touchscreen controller has "resonated" with them
With Ghost Recon Online Wii U, its not just tactical, but also tactile the Cross Com and its entire arsenal of cool new tech are now literally at your fingertips. Through the touch pad, our fans will always be connected at home with their social network and with the activities happening in the game. Its always on, even if your TV is off.
Unless he means the difference of touching a flat screen to a button. What else could he mean by that?
Kinda curious now. Crytek guy suggested on twitter a big announcement from a partner at GDC. We have heard that Crytek has a Wii U thing behind closed doors. Could Nintendo maybe lift the veil?
If Factor 5 was still around, they would be perfect for this job. It's a shame Nintendo didn't "save" them in order to use them for all the technical stuff. Those guys were able to pull off crazy things out of any kind of hardware.
All of this talk about a 3DS redesign has me giggling. No reason to right now. 3DS is killing Vita as is. Though I will say having my Vita for a week or so its difficult for me to go back to a single analog stick. Seriously Nintendo screwed up in that area. Vita controls are god tier.
They are!!
Only the US part of the company has had to close the doors.
The German office is still open and working.
Eventhough they said they will release something they have not till now or nothing that I remember.
BUT Factor 5 is alive....more or less

Mmm... IF PSN & Xboxlive doesn't sell it would it mean the same thing ? However I don't think this case can be used as an indication of... well, I don't know of what. It doesn't show a good sign of what ?the binding of isaac news with the 3DS eshop show not so goodsigns of future nintendo online managing.

Exactly. I dunno about Microsoft, but neither Sony nor Nintendo will license AO (Adults Only) games for their consoles. No it doesn't. It shows that games that involve children hanging themselves, excrement based attacks and Biblical satire are likely to be rated AO and therefore not going to be licensed by any of the 3 console makers.
As in they hadn't seen the 'E3 build' of the controller.
Obviously they'd have been working with protoype dev kits that would provide the exact same functionality as a 'controller with a screen'.
Would love to see what those dev units would look like though.
What, how and why? I don't understand the context here. What does the one say about the other?the binding of isaac news with the 3DS eshop show not so goodsigns of future nintendo online managing.

Unfortunately while their technical skills were always top notch, Factor 5's gameplay got worse with every single game they made.If Factor 5 was still around, they would be perfect for this job. Yeah, because that's the same thing as controlling a naked kid who uses his own excrement and urine to attack, with special attacks that involve hanging himself or impaling his head with coat hangers, and makes fun of religions...<images of "beefcake" satire characters>

But AO games were on console before- (some more on Win/MAC)
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas – Xbox/PS2
Thrill Kill – PS/PSone
The Joy Of Sex – CDI
Gta got the ao after the hot coffe affair, thrill kill has never seen daylight on console, and joy of sex.....well, it's sex in america. Shit doesn't flyBut AO games were on console before- (some more on Win/MAC)

The US team was the one which developed the games, the German office only consisted out of a few members. It was only said that they were the responsible for everything as they could've lost the rights to franchises such as Turrican during insolvency.
Factor 5 GmbH (Germany) lingered around for a bit but also shut down. They are now FactorY and work together with TechDevils and TouchFactor, both formed by former F5 employees.
But AO games were on console before- (some more on Win/MAC)
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas – Xbox/PS2 rated again later, because of content that was only accessible via hacking, originally rated M
Thrill Kill – PS/PSone never released
The Joy Of Sex – CDI don't know about that one
Note that GTA was pulled from shelves the moment it (stupidly) got re-rated to be AO after the game got hacked to unlock the disabled sex minigame. And of course since that game shipped as just M, and then got rereleased as M after they removed the disabled minigame, it's not the same thing as the company knowingly licensing an AO game for distribution on their console. And I don't think XBox got the game until the disabled minigame was removed from the disc. But AO games were on console before- (some more on Win/MAC)

Does nintendo completely own Eternal darkness? If so maybe retro could be devloping it?
