I dunno, it just seems quite rude and a bit dickish to tell someone to call you when they've come over specifically to talk to you.

Hmm Stewart is in the right here if the Spiner version is correct lets see you're having a meal and probably a conversation with your dinner guest and someone you sort of know comes over and says they have to talk to you right now.

That's rude as hell.

I saw the trailer a while ago but Cumberbatch's accent was atrocious. Absolutely cringe inducing.

Wasn't this movie originally about him exposing the evil Iran and their nuclear weapons? It was always planned to be nothing but propaganda garbage.

This brings up a point about biographical material as entertainment. Movie looks terrible anyway, but imagine if this was a billion dollar earner at the box office. People believe what they see in movies, especially from biographical films, and don't bother to look up what actually happened so if this movie is giving the wrong impression about the actual guy then I don't see an issue with Assange being angry about this.

There are still biographical tv shows/movies that have accuracy by having advisors or the actual biographical book author on board, like the recent sci-fi space movie Europa Report's scientific accuracy (even has Neil De Grasse Tyson as a brief cameo) while Gravity is getting shat on for this aspect, and the Masters of Sex show based on William Masters and Virginia Johnson's sex research revolutions (NPR interview with book writer who's consultant on the show).

I wish this trend became the norm of getting experts on board with a project on the script stage rather than contacting them way after everything's set in stone.

Yep, this is a problem I have with films that claim to be based on real events. When anyone points out it differs from reality, people say, oh it's 'only a movie', it's not meant to be a realistic portrayal, it's just a backdrop for the drama. So then why not just make up the whole thing if you're not going to do it properly? People walk out of the theatre feeling like they've learned something.

Assange is just jealous that he's not actually that pretty.

I think Cumby looks ridiculus, especially with his Assange look. Definitely nothing to be jealous about ; )

I haven't seen much of his performances, but judging by his Khan interperation, he tends to overact and take himself way too seriously. Maybe it's just me, but I though he was a terrible villain. I could handle all the cheese from the rest of the cast with no problem, but his performance was sticking out like a sore thumb (not in a good way).

Haha yeah I dug up the transcript and it's even funnier than I remembered:

Patrick Stewart is a national treasure

This just feels like fine English banter - did Patrick Stewart say himself what he felt of Cumberbumblepap or are people drawing their own conclusions? I was never a big fan of Camberwamblepoop myself and especially not after his Manning comments.

Lol
I know the feel of how cumbersome it is to type that last name.
