I assume you haven't experienced the joy of grouping up with friends and murdering Chua while they quest. Or coming to a friend's aid when they're being ganked only to turn the tide and cause the gankers to log or tele. World PvP is the best.

The idea of doing a quest and getting ganked while you are trying to kill a mob is repulsive to me. Congratulations, you killed me while I had half health and was fighting other things, that's some skill you have there. That's in general, not Wildstar specific

But that's the joy of pvp games!
You have to constantly in alert and save your resources for the attacker(s). That feeling when you managed to kill your ganker is just priceless.
But of course, it's not for everyone. I also can't keep up with pvp games nowadays so I tend to choose pve server.

I'm sorry but that's not fun to me at all. I don't want to be doing a quest only to be ganked by some random guy. if I wanted to PVP I'd join an Arena or a Battleplot.

But you know different strokes for different folks.

I get where you're coming from. But it leads to the most organic fights and stories you'll ever have in an mmo. The rigid PvP arenas will never compare to a full out war in a zone or when a faction invades your city. Everyone gets frustrated when they're murdered while questing but what comes next is magic. Something that everyone should experience IMO.

Does have a point. That short time I played WoW, had some pretty interesting skirmishes, some even leading right outside little towns.

Hell yeah. I would pay huge money to experience the dred servers from DAoC or Darktide from Asherons Call again.

My best gaming memories come from pvp in those games.
 
Servers had moments of being good but things were starting to get laggy. Always seems like its ok for a bit then like 8pm-9pm things get a bit off! Atleast I got 2 levels for now. Can't wait till this gets relieved a bit! I just want some smooth combat and looting haha. Took me like 5 mins to finish crafting quest. But had fun helping guildies with final boss of Protostar probably be much more fun and fluid with no lag!
 
damnit... after sitting in queue for 2 hours i finally got to log in. And of course, after i select my character and try to enter game it bounces back to the character creation screen. fml

It has a disconnect grace period, or at least that's been my experience. You can't just jump back in?

I asked for a guild invite on Dominion but never seemed to get one. If you feel like throwing one my way, my character's name is Jenna Novae.

Whatever they did to the servers seems to have helped a little since I can now log on without waiting in queue. However, the lag in the game is still so bad that I can't realistically play until they add the additional servers. Having said that, the action and animation when it works is so fluid that it doesn't feel like a typical MMO. I'd love to put some more time into this game once the servers are fixed.

Edit: Guess I'll make an Exile character as well.
 
Seems like the PVP server was easy to get onto and my Lvl 50 Stalker was still there. It had been a year since I last played, So no idea if she still existed.

That's not even in question the problem is that for whatever reason everyone plays Exile.

To me that all falls apart soon as the game has any sorta of organized pvp (arenas etc). People will just naturally gravitate to that, only ones left in open world are just asshats.
 
For realsies tho does anyone even play Dom besides dragon? Because yesterday when I was on for an hour or so when things were magically working with no lag, it was just him and me on

A handful of people here are Domi. The majority are exile, you already know this. Give in.

I'm all over the place atm. Obviously because half the time EU is down, half the time US is down (well actually most if the time lately they both are).

All my chars are in their early teens tho, my highest is 15, so it's easy to Reroll anyware because 1 to 10ish is fast anyway

I have another character on dominion, just in case.
My friends are still downloading the game, so depending on the majority vote later, I might actually play dominion.
