Hate to say it, but I think people who actively follow tabloids (and trash like PH) should find a much better use for their time. It's sad when people use their brains as a popular culture landfill.
 
Ironically I think Perez Hilton did more to insult the gay community, than the American model queen did.

According to his video, he called the police: they said something to the effect of "we'll try to make it out there, but..." Apparently, they weren't taking it seriously.

I'm exposed to that regularly but I just don't care about trashing/worshipping celebrities as much as you do. No one should. It's the same reason I could never get into the gaming-age obsession over people like David Jaffe, Dennis Dyack and the 1Up guys.

This isn't really personal because I hear this all the time on tv and such, but I hate these kinds of statements. Just because you spend 5 or 10 minutes doing something that isn't super productive it doesn't mean you're wasting your time or aren't doing anything productive as a person. You can do both, I can watch reality TV and be up to date on politics, I can play video games and have a great GPA, I can read a pop culture blog but still get a lot of work done that day.

No one is completely productive all the time and everyone has hobbies. Posting on a video game forum isn't any less "sad" than someone who reads Perez Hilton for 5 minutes at a time.

From his video he said that he called the cops and they said that there was real emergencies that they were dealing with and they couldnt send a cop. He could have gone to the police station to file a report instead he twitters to have hundreds of people tying up the 911 service.

This guy invites this kind of bullshit to him. Sorry unlike most others here spiritual and mental violence or instigating as some call is equally just as bad as physical violence since that is only a manifestation of one's own inner mind. Tons of members have shown how he conducts and behaves himself so it's no surprise that someone finally didn't give shit about the rules and let him have it back. Equality and respect if you don't show it to others can't blame them when the situation happens and it's not afforded to you. He does more harm for the community than good since it leaves people with bad public image of those we allow to represent us.
 
Watch the video folks, he called the cops, was told they would be there practically "whenever", and he just posted on twitter because I guess it helped him feel like people were there.

See, that's part of the problem, though. Using "gay" or "faggot" in that way, regardless of whether or not it could apply, is hate speech--just like calling a woman "the C-word" or busting out "the N-word." In so doing, the speaker implies that to be of that classification, if you will, is undesirable and that the person to whom he or she is speaking is thus inferior. This incident only further proves the point, and the fact that the words were used by a gay man makes it all the more disgraceful.
