I think a PS360 Onimusha is very likely. Though, the Onimushas tend to be very, very expensive games to make. IIRC, the DMC3 people were complaining about Shin Onimusha having 10 times their budget - I imagine that's an exaggeration.

No way Dawn of Dreams had a higher budget than DMC3. It felt really low-budget, especially coming off Onimusha 3.

Really liked DoD though - fantastic gameplay. It's a shame that the series lost publisher cred after that game bombed.

any one remember onimusha warriors. man i love that game and all its crazy classes and leveled up weapons. smash brothers needed stuff like that, like it needed megaman in brawl.

Mega Man Legends 3
Onimusha 4
Dead Rising 2 (with multi player this probably highest on the list in my mind but i love this game too much)
less lostplanets (make a fixed sequel already or just a mech game)

I don't think Onimusha sells well enough in the west to support a HD release... maybe on Wii (or DS), but not 360/PS3/PC imo.

They should do Dino Crisis 4 instead.

Production values out the ass. Hiring big name actors (or borrowing the image of a deceased big name Japanese actor) to be the main character. Hiring Donnie Yen to do mocap. Jean Fucking Reno.

And, really, DMC3 certainly doesn't look or play like a Simple 2000 game.

Oh yea, I agree with everyone saying Dino Crisis needs to come out again. With the tech we have now days, I could imagine it being scary as shit. It needs to be more like REmake in terms of scariness. Dino's in HD = ;_;

You know that badass opening CG sequence with the sweet ass fights in Onimusha 3? Donnie Yen was hired as the action director for it.

I've actually been wondering this myself. It's one of the few IPs that Capcom hasn't made a sequel for or revitalized in any way in quite a while. I love the entire series (except for Genma and the Blade Warriors games, as i haven't played those) and think it would be awesome to see a new Onimusha in the current gen.

I didn't realize that so many people didn't like Dawn of Dreams. Not trying to stir shit up here, but just out of curiosity, for the people that didn't care for it, what about the game didn't you like?

Is it short like the original? I actually liked that aspect. I don't want too much adventuring, the combat is my favorite part.

Btw, I think the bump is timely too, because E3 passed and there was no word on a new Onimusha, so the main topic is still relevant... I would dig a next-gen Onimusha!
