I was thinking J'onn too, but he's probably not at all an option. I don't think anyone working on these films likes him much. (which is a bad sign, honestly) But I was trying to think of older interesting/strange/inscrutable good guys in the DCU that he could play.

I heard that he's quite personable but very intense. Like, ridiculously intense. This might be the same as when Richard Schiff was cast in Man Of Steel, though a pivotal role he wasn't an actual 'named character'.
