Wind Waker Ganondorf is best Ganondorf

He's an alright guy. He'll even stop and let you take a selfie with him.

This is so great.

Nop...Oot is still the best for me. This video puts in words why I think so. Technically they are the same, but his role in Oot is so much better.

I agree. Both Ganondorf and Skullkid were pretty active in the story and with how they interact with Link from start to finish.

Ganondorf in TWW is great in terms of character development, but he wasn't very engaging for the whole encompassing story.

I like how Wind Waker Ganondorf is also a ninja that just showboats the entire battle. His movements there finally made him feel like he was part of the Gerudo tribe, rather than only rely on magic like he usually does.

- The long hair is stupid. Ganondorf has never been portrayed with such long, neon bright red hair like that. It doesn't really suit Ganondorf, whose either clean kept, or with his hair in ornate curls.
I think you'll find that Ganondorf always had long red hair when you were Adult Link. Not just in the game, but the artwork with Adult Link has this as well.

The reason why not a lot of people noticed is the majority of the time the camera is facing straight at him, obscuring how his hair grew over the course of those years. His hair is after all just a thin mullet texture that his torso blocks the view of. In Ocarina of Time 3D they seemed to have given the hair some sway in certain animations, making it more apparent. In Hyrule Warriors they styled it even more to look like a mixture of older Ganondorf from OoT, Skyward Sword's demise, and I suspect Ganondorf's beast form.

One fine morning, a young Gannon awoke feeling a rumbling in his tummy, a mild but growing discomfort.

Not wishing to disturb his new bride, he held it in, this foul wind what woke him. Many, many years later, the great Gannon, of tender years no more, decided to let loose this great wind. After a lengthy expulsion, he looked to the sky and uttered the following words...

WW Ganondorf had my favorite little story-arc. That last fight is so memorable because of the way he was developed.

You almost feel sad for him.

I always figured that last line about the winds had something to do with the foot of steel in his brainpan at the time.

Best Ganondorf for sure, though. Best design, best characterization, best death by a landslide. He's so good he completely justifies all the art quirks of Wind Waker. I never really clicked with most of the character's looks (Except Tetra), especially those weird-ass bird people, but without the light, bright, and silly cartoon preceeding Ganon taking the stage he wouldn't work half so well.

Also made me want a more japanese-inspired look for a Zelda game.

But... um... there wasn't a foot of steel in his brainpan at the time. Wind Waker Ganondorf is a Ganondorf who has been humbled by multiple defeats.

It's interesting how Twilight Princess Ganondorf is so different because instead of the thorough and utter defeat he suffered in the other timeline he believes that the gods favor him since he received the triforce of power despite his plans failing. He likely didn't know about the time travel shenanigans that caused that to happen.

He may be, but he loses major points for being in such a boring game.

I like the trend of him becoming Ganon at the end; I wish they'd give it some narrative sense though.

Agreed. He looks amazing posing on my shelf. So well designed. Shame the final battle didn't have more of the swordplay.

Yes and the King of Red Lions is better than Epona.
He was like Epona and Navi/Tatl/Minish/Midna/Fi in one. Except not as annoying. I wish I had a figurine of Link and Medli sitting in the boat sailing on the ocean.
