Nintendo should have easily had the best conference, but they screwed up the WiiU announcement. Nintendo probably should have waited to more things were set in stone and maybe had a real game or two running on the WiiU before announcing it.

That said I would still have a hard time choosing between Sony and Nintendo. Microsoft was pretty lackluster to me.

All and all they were all disappointing.

Sony. I'm very skeptic about the Wii U...

- Confusing presentation.
- Very few actual games shown.
- Being vague and mysterious about everything.
- Technically it looks like it will be only marginally better than the 360 and PS3.
- No proof of substantial third party support, and developer comments seem to suggest that very few titles are actually in the works ("Imagine something like Battlefield!", "Mass Effect would be very nice").
- The controller seems nice enough, but has a lot of weird design choices. Only one controller? no multitouch?
- No hope for a modern online system like the ones their competitors have had for the last 6 years.
- Not a single real Nintendo game was shown for the system.

At the moment I don't really see any reason to get this system. At best, it will have superior versions of multiplatform games that are also on PS3 and 360. Some of Nintendo's games really are amazing but they aren't enough to warrant a whole new system for me, at least not before we see what Microsoft and Sony have to offer with their new system.

Sony won only because the Vita presentation and price were very compelling. Sadly, I agree with Amir0x when he says that he doubts a device like Vita has a large market. I think Sony would have been better off making a gaming tablet with the same specs as the Vita, but a larger screen, internal storage and Android OS. That way they could sell it for $400-$500 and compete in the tablet/gadget market instead of only in the gaming handheld market, which is comprised mostly of kids. I still want it though.

I think they did the right thing. People that are used to seeing a bunch of crazy cool CG target renders at console announcements was probably dissapointed but people that have both feet on the ground and love the innovations only Nintendo can do certainly got what they wanted. And it will only get better. Personally I think they once again left the competition confused, worried and simply wondering what to do next. And I can't wait to see what comes out of this. :)

I begrudgingly went with Sony, though all 3 weren't great and it's been the worst E3 ever for excitment and new games to get me anticipated.

Sony has a boring, long drawn out show again that lacked any punch or new game annoucement. The Vita pricing is great for US gamers but the price ain't great for UK and the name is horrid. The demos shown weren't particularly awe inspiring, but U3 and R3 look nice anyways. Other showings were already known and I can't see Dust being popular. Their Move showings were pitiful and Medieval was embarrassingly hilarious to watch. Could have done with a God of War 4 showing or something big at the end.

Nintendo obviously unveiled their new controller... I mean console, but nothing much else was shown as it's so early. Another horrid name on top of an already horrid name but at least the controller looks to be a nice VMU style invention that's perhaps too big. More Nintendo franchises were shown for the 3DS but I'm so bored of seeing the same old stuff now I just can't get excited for yet another Mario or Zelda.

Microsofts was awful. Though well presented... if that makes sense. Their conference reminded me just how bad Kinect is, all over again and it's now being shoe-horned into everything for no reason other than to try and drive Kinectic numbers to the core audience as opposed to quality experiences. Ghost Recon looked awkward, silly and above all else, pointless. Fable was atrocious, as well as all the other demos shown. There's no reason why I'd want to buy an expensive bit of kit to wave my arms around when I can easily do it with a button in a quicker fashion. I'm bored of their same old exclusives and another Halo is hardly a shock.

Microsoft was solid for the 1st half then they started showing garbage like Fable and Star Wars.
Sony needed more PS3 games but PSV at $249 was huge.
Nintendo was just as good as Sony but needed one more game announcement.

Cast my vote for Sony. Personally, every game they showed after Uncharted was sort of underwhelming for me but that NGP price and launch won me over.

Well my highlights of the show were

Uncharted 3

Vita Price & showing

So IMO Sony won E3, I did like what I saw from the Wii U, hopefully that works out for Nintendo.

Microsoft... uhhh...yeah.

Sony. Vita pricing was the biggest news that is going to have a tangible impact on my purchasing decisions. Nintendo has a lot of time before Wii U comes out so they didn't need to be super clear on what their plans are. Microsoft... I'll keep buying third party games on 360 when they are better than the PS3 version.

Personally, for me it was Sony. They showed what I wanted the most. And that pricing on the Vita was just amazing. Nintendo might've showed their new console, but really they should have explained it right there.

Sony nailed the Vita's pricing and some of the new IPs they've got coming to it are awesome looking, but... yeah... I'm giving it to the Wii U's controller and Skyward Sword. That game looks amazing, and I haven't enjoyed a Zelda game in a long time.

Sony for me, they had Vita which appeals to me more than any other gaming device and the Uncharted 3 demo was great. But it was the best conference of a bad bunch.

Nintendo started great, Zelda followed by awesome 3DS footage and announcements, but the Wii U stuff was really confusing and weird.

Microsoft gave third parties the time to shine with core games, before moving into the Kinect segment, which is of no interest to me.

Microsoft was... um... yeah...
And Sony felt incredibly flat outside of the Vita price.
And Ninty felt a bit awkward with the WiiU and whatnot, and lacked much in the way of announcements, but at least we got Luigi's Mansion 2, which is pretty awesome, so I guess they won for me, though not by the margin they really should have been able to.
Still, pretty damn weak E3 all around.

I have to ask: What about Skyward Sword makes you believe that you will enjoy it more than the last few Zelda's?

For me I need a new a major change in the plot and design of the game. Every game is basically the same, just with a different art style. I'd love to see them develop a Zelda game where you play as Zelda herself, and spend the game escaping and trying to make it home. Or even playing the game as each, with Link's being more action based and Zelda's being more puzzle based.

I voted sony, because of vita, not because of the price, but because of the cross play. They barely edge out Nintendo too me. The Wii U is an awesome idea, one I look forward to. I originally said I wasn't going to purchase a next gen system, but I didn't see this coming. Good job Nintendo and Sony.

Cross Play All day, ooh shit, I'm transfarring bitches and I can't help myself.

Chose Sony mostly because of Vita.

I think it would have been an easy Nintendo choice but their Wii U announcement was very confusing and they didn't really show/say much about it.

Close between Nintendo and Sony, but I went with Nintendo. I'm very excited about Zelda, Super Mario, and Luigi's Mansion 2. The Wii U is too far off to really judge, but it seems neat.

I'm excited about the PS Vita and the great price, but it couldn't beat my excitement about the new software.

Nintendo showed new hardware with many possibilities, Microsoft was embarrasing to watch and Sony... I missed the Last Guardian, Uncharted 3 was awesome and PSVITA I don't really care about it.
So Nintendo for me, even if they screwed up the reveal with no big game trailers

I went with Nintendo just because I think they had a great 3DS showing. The Wii U reveal wasn't handled well, but I couldn't justify picking Sony over them. The only thing they did that caught my attention was the Vita price point, although that really did catch my attention.

Microsoft impressed me with their astonishing ability to make E3 press conferences awkward for me to watch.

Nintendo edges out slightly over Sony because of the U. We already knew about Vita except for the price (which was irrelevant to me). Not too happy about Nintendo outsourcing so much shit tho

I voted for Sony. The Vita pricing reveal was WTF worthy. It was so unexpected and shocking to me that they'd price it at $250 and it pretty much sealed the deal to pick it up day one. After trying it at E3, it is definitely a godly handheld. Nintendo's conference was good too, but they really didn't show any games on their conference that I can play this year outside of Zelda and 3DS games. First party 3DS games look great as usual, but the third party stuff looks abysmal outside of Revelations to me. That and the Wii U announcement was the most disappointing console reveal I've ever witnessed. :( Both their conferences were good. Microsoft on the other hand... :lol Two years in a row where I thought their conference sucked.

If Nintendo showed any software and released details about a decent online model for WiiU I would of chose them, but as it stands I would say Sony.

It was a tough choice between Sony and Nintendo, but ultimately, I chose the latter. Despite (or maybe even because of) the sparse showing, I'm intrigued. The Vita certainly interests me, but we had already seen it.

Trackmania 2 was the game of the show............but none of the options apply to it :/

I'll pick Nintendo with an extremely close Sony..............and some other company way off in the distance.

Vita was an amazing reveal, but seeing Zelda SS, Kirby wii and so many interesting 3DS games make Nintendo the winner in my opinion.

Definitely Nintendo for me. I'll be buying pretty much every 3DS game they showed in the conference and the Wii U intrigues me. Might've gone for Sony if Vita had more games I cared about, but Nintendo really stole the show imo.

I think the biggest news here is that NeoGAF has polls. :lol

If Nintendo had shown software for Wii (Last Story, Xenoblade, Pandora's Tower, etc), and made their portion about Wii U less ambiguous/confusing, then I would have voted for them since I really like their 3DS lineup and the Zelda SS/Orchestra stuff (and hence it was really hard for me to make my decision since I really love Zelda).

But Sony won me over with Vita, Vita's price and their software lineup for both PS3/Move and Vita. They have some new, interesting IPs. Cross-play is also a fantastic addition. They simply had more to show, despite the pacing. Their conferences tend to have strange pacing, though.

Microsoft... er... well... you know. It at least highlighted some of the limitations of Kinect, even though that wasn't their intention? I don't know. There's nothing wrong with their presenting style, really, but more of what they choose to show.

Mind you, I thought all three conferences were a bit lacklustre in comparison to previous years. It was a really weak E3.

I liked Ubisoft's conference, outside of Mr. Caffeine.

Sony for me.

Microsoft was a 90-minute Kinectaton whilst Nintendo spent more time confusing us about the WiiU.

I voted for Sony because it's the least terrible option. MS had a horrible conference with an emphasis on Kinect (oh god the Fable and Star Wars demo). I liked the Zelda Orchestra at the big N conference but the lack of Wii and 3DS games (No Xenoblade and Last Story) was a big failure. Wii U announcement was way too much confusing. Sony's conference had embarassing Move moments (Kobe failing at playing the game) and lacked Vita softwares. At least the pricing could be considered a surprise. Uncharted 3 looked impressive.

I'm extremely surprised by the current outcome of the poll, I was so sure that Nintendo impressed the most.

I think you underestimate the amount of excitement Sony got when they announced the price of the Vita. That alone made their E3 for many people I think.

Is this a vote on the how the did with their conferences or their game lineup?
I thought Nintendo was the classiest, but Sony had the best games.

Overall e3 showing not just the conferences.

Why so surprised? It was a cool conference (the orchestra was awesome) but they didn't really have a lot of games.

Overall I'll go with Sony, but I really enjoyed the Nintendo Conference. The Vita's price and the games won me over.

I voted Sony because for some reason I still do not know what Nintendo was doing with the Wii U. I watched the stream of Nintendo's event and went back and forth from it is only a controller and it being a console. I still do not know what they are doing with it. The Vita at 249 was the thing that solidified Sony for me. Also like all the stuff between PS3 and Vita.

Would have voted for nintendo but their conference was a confusing mess of nothing. It really really shows how young this console is and their lack of information was disturbing. They have a really good chance next year of stealing the show but as of right now Sony wins with the vita.

Oh and 74 people should be ashamed of themselves for voting MS.

Sony actually gave people what they wanted. Nintendo just left most people confused.

I'm really surprised at those Microsoft numbers...

Sony. They announced more new games that MS and Nintendo put together, and their presentation of the Vita was convincing. It wasn't a strong show by any means, but given how weak MS and (unexpectedly) Nintendo were, Sony were the clear victor.

Nintendo's show was strange, with a prolonged orchestra segment that became a little self-endulgent, one new game announcement (Luigi's Mansion 2), and they tried to sell us some unique hardware without a single game showing its immense potential. It left a bitter taste.

Microsoft, who used to be so strong at this in the days of Peter Moore, put on another pitiable effort. The show was either a congealed mass of generic FPSs or a parade of Kinect shovelware, with nothing outside of these extreme audiences. They lacked range, frustrated their audience with the most tacked-on demonstrations of Kinect control in core games, and spoiled all their big surprises. It was pathetic, and I hope they learn from it.
