Wireless-age: router recommendations to replace an AP?

I'm thinking of replacing my wireless access point with a wireless router, for several reasons: my current AP doesn't give much of a signal once I go out of the room it's in, and also being an AP it doesn't have inbuilt DHCP so I have to assign static IPs to wireless devices like the rest of my network. If I replace it with a router, I can stick the wireless side of things on a different netblock and it can have DHCP on there, and also hopefully there'll be some improvement with the signal strength.

Can anyone recommend me a suitable router? Since it's replacing an AP, it just needs to be a regular one, no builtin modem required, but it needs to be available in the UK (check sites like www.dabs.com or www.ebuyer.com for availability) and capable of supporting the extra channels that are allowed here (12 and 13).

Since nobody's replied with any recommendations, I went and had a look at some of the routers out there and found this one:

Buffalo AirStation WHR-HP-G54

It's £33 from Amazon UK, has anyone ever used it or have any idea if it's any good?
