Wireless mouse and keyboard for HDTV PC?

Own a Logitech S510. Sat 3-4 meters away from the receiver when trying it out. Lag. Stupid lag. I'm gonna hook my future PC up to my HDTV and then play games on it. Stupid lag = stupid aiming. So I'm searching for another mouse + keyboard that does not lag at distances around 5 meters. How exactly are you supposed to know that before purchasing the damn thing?

Whatever you do don't buy MS branded ones. From my experience they are HORRIBLE.

So you need something that'll reach 15 or so feet? That's going to be really hard to find I think.

Bluetooth is supposed to cover 30 feet, but you never really know about that stupid lag. But I just realized I will have a comfy chair I can just move closer to the receiver. Otherwise I've already ordered a USB extension cable (originally meant for my wired keyboard as a temporary solution) so I can instead move the receiver closer to me. So I guess if all goes well I can use the wireless mouse and keyboard I already own.

I didn't think of this earlier because I felt tired and stupid.

But if all doesn't go well I'll still need a decent non-laggy wireless mouse and keyboard. And it would still be preferable if I wouldn't need to move something closer to something. The above smells a bit too much like a non-optimal compromise.

I'm also interested in this as well.
For now I have the computer in our living room about 1,5-2 m behind the sofa. The TV is 2-3 m in front of the sofa.

Since my computer is in the back of the room, I need a keyboard and mouse that is not dependent of visual contact.

Since I am on lookout for a house, it's also interesting to have something that has no problem going through walls and ceilings.

Get this. It's a keyboard with a touch pad.

I know there are alot of PC players who hook their rigs up to their TVs, so someone should have a good answer for this. I'm looking for the same thing. After years of not playing PC games, I can finally hook one up to my giant TV, but I sit too far away for infrared, and I don't want to suck on laggy mouse controls.

So, what are the PC guys using?

From what I've read you'd wanna go with bluetooth.
Signals can be transmitted through walls and briefcases, thus eliminating the need for line-of-sight.
Devices do not need to be pointed at each other, as signals are omni-directional.
The whole lag issue would still be an issue though I think.
