It's the delusion that DX12 is so groundbreaking that it'll give a massive boost to the hardware and make up the difference in spec between the PS4 and X1. DX12 is the delusional console warrior's white knight.

while we're on the subject, has it been made absolutely clear just what dx12 will do for xbone and its limitations? it should be spelled out crystal clear so that fanboys stop believing in their delusions.

Realistically speaking if they are under contract, they in fact can control what devs say on twitter, but it has to be stipulated in the contract in the first place.

honestly i don't think that's fair. he's just saying how he really feels. he shouldn't be denied that.. it's not like they're refusing to do exclusive marketing rights because the xbone version has a slightly inferior port.

Have you gone to his site? It's frightening. He regularly has 'interviews' with insiders, who just happens to speak his same sort of broken English that he does. It's clear as day he's just making it all up, but he is relentless in his pursuit of all this.

I took a look at his blog just now. a sample...

Please be aware of lies of Sony propaganda, they over promise and under deliver, A 1.8TF console (PS4) is still 1.8TF console while top GPUs are 5-6TFs. They often show CGI first and then downgrade later on in development.

Also their other tricks are specific game designed only for PlayStation exclusives which use:

- Narrow corridor games with low draw distance (Uncharted, God of War, and Last of Us), that all need less power for the system to render.
- Open-world games with low draw distance (Infamous).
- Games with static cameras (Beyond, Heavy Rain).
- Less objects and details on screen to render (GT5).

All those tricks need 30-40% less power to render. Compare to Xbox 360 games that look much better. Compare for example Uncharted which consists 95% of corridor levels and some of Halo 4 corridor levels with Night and Day.

Did you not read my link? The higher number of ACE that the PS4 has will allow them to make better use of Asynchronous Shading, which will in turn increase FPS whilst using more effects, it also specifically helps with VR.

In theory this look excellent just as DX12, but how will it work in real life is the question. From what i can gather from those slides most of the benefits will be for VR.

I would really like to see the first game that makes extensive use of Asychronous Compute/GPGPU. Cerny said these fruits should ripen around the third year, so I'm looking forward to what it brings.

At this point, I think MisterXmedia is trolling his fans, I'm sure he'll say so in an interview when this generation is all done and dusted, there's no way misterxmedia believes these things he spews.

PS4 can do 1080p 30fps if the developers make use of the hardware advantages. So far most of the multi platform developers did not use PS4 hardware very well with optimizations instead they focus more on XB1/PC optimizations(especially XB1 to give parity by spending more on this and less on PS4) and then port the game to PS4. If developer focused same on both versions with proper optimizations then difference between PS4 and XB1 will be even bigger than we see from recent games because we know there is 30-40% compute hardware advantage for PS4.

While I'm not disillusioned enough to believe DX12 will make the X1 magically compute like a Quantum computer I think there is something to be said about a game that has been in development for years already vs a new game taking advantage of DX12 from the ground up during development/pre-development.

I expect good things from DX12, not earth shattering loss leading hardware quality but some good things will come from it over the next 1-3 years. Anyone who has been around long enough to understand software, drivers and programming efficiency can give decent gains will reserve judgement as games release based on DX12. Some games will take no advantage and some will make great use of DX12.

It seems to me as though the whole 'I was invited to E3 by Aaron Greenberg' line has fooled members into believing that all but confirms that this 'parasite76' is an insider. When actually, there's flaws to that logic.

It's not a invitation to 'parasite76' specifically as Aaron Greenberg then invited a fellow Xbox fan in the Twitter timeline to also come along. Another flaw is why on earth would MS want this supposed 'insider', who 'leaks information', at E3?

To me, bigging up the One as some amazing machine and criticising Sony at every possible avenue is fine, he's hurting no one. However, now he just appears to be scamming people out of money.

I think they expect to see 'parasite76' on stage or something at E3 with Phil Spencer welcoming him to the stage to discuss DirectX 12.
