With Zelda U delayed to 2017, would Skyward Sword HD in Fall 2016 quench your thirst?

Dolphin bar is an USB sensor bar with built-in bluetooth that allows you to use your Wiimote+ on PC.

Thanks for telling me about this, because I think I might need one of these. I made an attempt at replaying Skyward Sword in Dolphin long ago but eventually gave up due to difficulties I was having in keeping my Wiimote synced to my PC's bluetooth dongle. If this bar makes using Wiimote on a PC any less of a hassle, I'll definitely look into buying one.

I'd sooner pay for a compilation of the 3DS OoT/MM remakes in HD.

And even then I'd prefer such a package on the NX.

Silly child, Skyward Sword doesn't have a left handed option.

Wait what, Zelda U is again delayed to 2017 ? 2017 ? Trump will have made his vow as POTUS and invaded China by then, and Red Dead 3 will have been teased, revealed, released and GOTYed.

Probably my least favorite zelda alongside phantom hourglass, and not just because of the motion controls. The dungeons were about the most forgettable in the series and the treck through the same 3 areas multiple times just felt lazy.

I might give it another go some time but i'll stick with the one i already paid for

I want it because Skyward Sword doesn't deserve to stay at 480p forever, but I can't really see them releasing a Wii remote/nunchuck game in 2016.

Redesigning the game for a more traditional controller would be a very stupid decision, they already made that mistake with DK Jungle Beat and it ruined the game.

Wouldn' surprise me too much - not as a "sorry", but because SSHD can only happen when Wiimotes are still viable.

I'd prefer a port of Four Swords Adventures - its the only Zelda not playable with this gen hardware.

I have a stronk PC. Skyward Sword emulated in HD looks stunning

.

If it looked like this, then yes. SS is a gorgeous looking game held back by the Wii hardware. It deserves the HD treatment. Playing Twilight Princess HD made me appreciate SS even more. It's so much more fun and has some of the best dungeons in the series. And I loved the controls except one or two missteps. Some parts like the roller coaster ride or the final boss put a smile on my face.

Skyward Sword HD shouldn't happen unless Wii Remote Plus+Nunchuk is still the main mode of control. Motion controls are the core of the game, replacing them with the GamePad control scheme is taking out part of its identity.

It'd look pretty as hell though

The only thing that would make me forgive Nintendo's betrayal regarding Zelda Wii-U is an HD remake of OoT.

I would love an HD Skyward Sword. The art style would really shine in a higher resolution. The game would instantly become one of the most beautiful games ever created.

It is the best 3D zelda since OOT, simple fact.
SS has a lot of interesting things about it, but its pacing and overworld are dogshit. The forced repetition of content and egregious handholding get in the way of some genuinely interesting puzzle and level design.

Its side content has a charm but certainly isn't a real draw, the combat boils down to the same "swing this way, swing this way" mechanic over and over again with little to make it interesting, and the weak-ass Wii hardware made its attempted setpieces so fucking lame. Also it has a fucking terrible ending.
