That's the London way I hate to say. People just don't talk to each other, and rather not get involved. I got dagger looks from this woman because I said 'bless you' when she sneezed on the tube. Really? I was just being polite...
I'm glad at least one white person stood up to her.
I've seen people that go off like that, and move like that, and recognize it instantly. It's when a person starts having a breakdown.
I mean she was already racist, but that looks exactly like when I've seen people snap. The way her eyes dart around, moves her head around, her face, and the stressed way she's talking.. yeah. She needs help, and soon. She can no longer handle small spaces with lots of people in them right now it seems.

It's weird, every Londoner I've gotten to know has generally been a nice person, a few notable exceptions notwithstanding, yet every time I've been to London itself there seems to be an enforced policy that you should act like a prick to strangers. Not a big fan of the city itself, despite all the stuff there is to see and do there. Mind you, I live in Dundee, so I can't really talk.
Um, he's largely right. England as a whole is >80% White, and even London in general is 70% white. Sure certain boroughs come to around 50%, but that's not the whole picture.

Yes, it's 2011, which is only about half a decade from the major civil rights struggles in America. It's frustrating, and I'm with you 100%, but the sad truth is that these things take time to die off. Even though our generation, and those immediately surrounding us, are on the whole progressing beyond this stuff, there are still people out there who grew up in a time when people just didn't know better, and they're still teaching their children and grandchildren this same idiotic way of thinking. Give it time, and do your best to set a good example.

But the question is, how many white Brits would actually mind if tomorrow the country were 50% ethnic minority, or if whites were themselves the minority?
I think it's the 'out in the open zone' thing we have. When on public transport, it's every person for themselves so it can be pretty brutal in a rush hour commute (I drive through central every day, which can definitely make your blood boil too).
Yet you get couples making cups of tea for the Police during riots. We seem to have two different personalities as a society here. I think most people are nice, but build a brick wall when outside of their comfort zone thanks to various different reasons, including the threat of violence. I can't say I am not guilty of it either.

I was once in a similar situation, and a guy (black) said his father was 70, and that his father had been in the country longer then the racist (a guy that time), had been on this planet.
It just shows how absurd racism is.

Culture like everything else changes over time. It evolves, grows, mutates. Accept that nothing in the world stays the same and just enjoy your time on the planet.

When I sit down, read the reproduction statistics, and realize that white becomes more and more of the minority race, and continents like Africa continue to recieve global unequivocal support, allowing them access to an education, job and food (like da typical white guy), I hate stupid fucking cunts like the one in the OP, who makes me ashamed to be white, but understanding if one day white people are the majority race cleaning toilets.

I'm quite calm. I'm just frustrated at where we are at in life. It's the 21st century but I did forget about those that been through the past decades. They still exist. My generation and the future generations look incredibly bright to a diverse and multicultural.
My Dad (Caucasian/White) grandmother was very racist. In fact she wasn't even in agreement when she found out my Dad was in a relationship with my Mom (African American). She actually abandoned my Grandmother on my Dad side, my Dad, and even me when I was born. This was in the 1980's mind you. So the cultural was changing slowly and kinda accepting mixed cultural. But she wasn't.
I never experienced racism per se. Because I always grew up in a diverse way of living (friends, family). But to see that it exists still is crazy. But again you helped me out by saying that the reason it's still exists is because of the previous generations still exist with that false way.
Wondering what this woman's culture consists of.

I like how this article doesn't mention her rant was directed at Polish people too. I wonder how it would be viewed if she hadn't mentioned black people and just mentioned Polish.
This woman is a complete racist moron, however, most of her anger is directed at the fact that there are a lot of immigrants in Britain. I personally have no problem with immigration, but I don't think it would be too bold to say that immigration laws in the UK are messed up and too lax. Look at how hard it is to emigrate to many other countries such as Australia, and how easy it seems for people to come to live in the UK, but some of these people then just come to claim off the state and aren't here to work. I don't see the point in letting people in that aren't ever going to work a day in their life.
