Woman on tram goes on racist rant

Saw the new vid with the hippo drop kick doing the rounds on Facebook. Hilarious. And what a champ for throwing her off lol.

From BBC News

How can you keep a straight face and deny it when the footage has just been played in front of the court?
KuGsj.gif

So she has to stay in jail? Charging her was harsh, but this is lunacy.

Booooo, hiss!

Hopefully nothing happens to the 'big man'. The last thing we need is a strengthening of the perception that good samaritans get fucked over.

There wouldn't be a 'perception' that good samaritans got fucked over if good samaritans didn't actually get fucked over, now would there?

Or as you might otherwise say, the bad thing about the video in the OP is that it 'strengthens the perception' that you still have the odd mouthy racist fuckwit about. That's the REALLY bad thing. Right?

That's a good point.

That's a, erm, point? I think.

I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing though. Incidents like this usually trigger dialogue in the wider community. That's usually a good thing. The fact that the woman is sitting in a cell as we speak ain't a good thing though.

Lame. Fucking lame. Once again the scum wins.

Relax. The fact that the kid is on remand for the same issue will mean any normal judge will simply throw out the assault charge. They have to go through the process because of the attention and the video.

"Did you feel the conflict could escalate to the point of danger to your person and your fellow passengers and then firmly but safely eject the culprit? Yes? Good show."

I sincerely hope that is the case. The behaviour exhibited by the passenger is something we ought to be encouraging, not punishing.

as usual, theres more to the story. i apologise in advance for the using of a daily mail link.

getting two of the same ticket can and does happen, the teenager should have done a much better explaining himself, the actions of the big man werent justified especially as he threw a diabetic off a train without handing him his bag. note, the bag was casually thrown out by another passenger.

digusting behavior from all involved, but more so from the big man.

nice to see not all bigoted smokydave standing up for the person in the wrong. not surprising. something about a duck comes to mind.

Dude, you really shouldn't start this. By all means, go ahead, but I'm politely advising you that it's not a good idea.

start what? youre standing up for someone who took matters into his own hands without knowing the potential damage he could be doing and youre advocating that more people do it.

what if his bag hadnt been thrown out by another passenger and he suffered an attack? doesnt matter right? his own fault i guess.

Sounds like a load of bollocks to me. Why did kid start getting abusive to the conducter? Not his fault the ticket vendor fucked up, you get up with your tail between your legs and buy another ticket at the station. Its your responsibility to check your items are correct when you purchase them.

we only see part of what happened. its possible he tried to explain to the conducter but he was on a powertrip.

sure its not his fault but you dont always check as you expect others to do their job properly and we have no idea if he was in rush when bought the tickets in the morning. and single fare tickets arent cheap. i know i wouldnt buy another if a vendor didnt give the correct tickets.

I have enough belief left in this country, somehow, to believe that most of the population doesn't agree with your opinion. How you think what he did was 'disgusting' is beyond me...

throwing a diabetic off a train because of a mistake that happened that was out of his control is digusting. its not what i expect from a civilised society. of course most wont agree because the reporting is skewed in such a way that it makes it appear as though a good samaritan is getting hard done by, which couldnt be further from the truth.

hes a thug, the teen should learn to express himself better and the conducter should be suspended for being a powertripping douche.

I wanted to avoid posting here.

The amount of fucks you give about one harmless remark by Dave from weeks ago that you took umbrage to is astounding.

You carry this shit around and even bring him up in threads where he hasn't even posted in some silly one-sided bitchfest where you label him a fascist* and bigot.

It makes you look like an immature wanker and it's bloody annoying. Stop being a whiny bitch.

And stop saying the conductor was power-tripping when he was doing what he was supposed to in order to not lose his job.

Pretty much this.

Don't put me against the wall when you establish your Reich, Dave. I'd make a good head of the secret police.

I see you spelled 'civilized' wrong and used 'douche' so I'm assuming you're American? If so then our cultures are completely different, we don't live in a 'sue you' society. It's completely different here. If you're not, then just because he is diabetic doesn't matter. He didn't have a ticket and was being 'disgusting' so the guy rightly took matters into his own hands. Mate, this is Scotland, I've lived here all my life. Things are not the same over here, and unless you know that then I don't think we have anything else to say.

Ah, man, I'm touched :)

You shall have your own division to treat as you see fit.

Don't try play it off as a Scottish thing. I'm Scottish and I don't agree with what the 'Big Man' did. It was stupid and he was very lucky that his actions didn't escalate the situation by turning a verbal conflict into a physical one. He acted without considering the safety of the other passengers.

Did the conductor or the guy that threw him off the train know that he was diabetic?

I think the conductor was harsh though. As he'd been sold the wrong ticket by mistake, then surely he could have checked into that? He could have taken the guy's details, then got someone to investigate later on. If he hadn't paid, then he could have been prosecuted for that. The guy didn't help himself by swearing, but some of that seemed to be out of frustration.

I remember getting into an argument with a bus driver once. I had the exact fare for my journey in coins (and I double-checked this), then I had a couple of £20 notes in my wallet. I got on the bus and handed the driver the coins for the fare and took my seat. After a few seconds, he turned round and said "you're 1p short". I said "I double-checked before I got on and I had the exact fare". He said "no, it's 1p short so either pay up or get off". I said that all I had was £20 notes and he said he couldn't take one of those as he had no change. I said that even though I knew I'd already paid the full fare, I would pay an extra 1p next time I used the bus as I used it several times a week, but that wasn't acceptable either.

The other people on the bus didn't offer to help me and they were looking at me like I was a complete nob head, as I was holding the bus up. I refused to get off as I had to be somewhere and I'd paid the full fare and I was 100% positive of that. Had "the big man" been on there, maybe he'd have tried to throw me off. Eventually, as we were in a deadlock, another passenger went up to the driver and handed him 1p, but as he walked back to his seat he looked at me like I was the scum of the earth.

Yes it is.

Throwing a random person who was causing a disturbance off the train is not disgusting at all.

From what everyone there knew and could see he was a guy making a scene and delaying everyone. Diabetics don't have giant signs above their head pointing them out you know.

Clay Davis is fast evolving into the worst joke character ever. The ridiculous bending of logic in the drunk Somali thread was truly something to behold but the way he acts in other threads is just eugh.

I swear to god I remember something similar happening where the person causing a commotion used their diabetes as an excuse.

Nobody uses Lord Wilfred Brimley's name in vein!

Seriously, it's sad that there are still people who think it's ok to impose their racist/bigoted opinion on others.

Maybe the teen should have acted civilized, explained the situation and not act with a 'fuck off conductor'-attitude. Or he should have payed the fine and afterwards set it right with the proper authority. Or he should have checked the tickets before going on the train.

The conductor is there to check the tickets. If the tickets don't check out, he gives you a fine. He isn't there to listen to everyones excuses. How would he know if the guy is telling the truth or not?

Clay Davis's posts are irritating me because I am beginning to associate the unending nonsense contained within them, with the beautiful woman in his avatar. What did she ever do to be linked to this guy's raving idiocy? :(

Clay Davis stop being a whiny cunt, SmokyDave is without a doubt the most honest, and well mannered poster on here, always being open to other opinions and sharing his own in a positive, debate driving way.
