This was a life saver for me. I used to watch this video for tingles before I even knew what asmr was.

World's Greatest Head Massage

I was never able to get to sleep cause I couldn't shut off my brain these videos relaxed me to the point where I would be entranced by them and fall asleep in minutes. Best find ever.

Baba is awesome. If I ever go to Pushkar, I'd love to get a head massage from him. Just seems like fun if anything.

I'm not going to lie I felt a tingly feeling on the lower part of the back of my neck. It was quite strange considering I thought it was some weird shit when I read it in the op.

The optometrist video stood out mostly because it reminds me when I get my check ups and how I have to decide between the different lenses.

The noise pickup can be distracting at times.

I imagine in the future people will go to places of sleep or whatnot and listen to this shit.

Okay I take back what I said of video 2 in the OP. Having just finished it, I think it's soothing and a very relaxing experience. Almost like she's sucking my cock and whispering me a story at the same time.

My feet feels tingly and I have a boner as we speak.

This shit is nonsense. WTF is wrong with people on the Internet?

I'm not sure why this is a problem. Many people experience strong tingling sensations in response to the sounds or visual queues. It can be quite relaxing and helps people get to sleep. If this doesn't happen for you, that's fine, you're under no obligation to watch them.

I think it causes a reaction in people because of what seems to be a heavy emphasis on the girls/women themselves. It's not just an audio thing to listen to and relax, it's also watching a specific woman, usually wearing makeup and with her hair done, talking to you so quietly that that voice is usually reserved for intimate situations.

Clearly many people use this stuff to fall asleep, but there's obviously more to it than that for a lot of people, which might come off as weird or "creepy" to some people. Personally I don't really care what other people enjoy as long as it doesn't harm anybody, even if I don't understand it myself.

Also, even using headphones, I don't get any of the tingly sensations people describe. I have certain issues with sounds that are not typical of most people though, so it doesn't surprise me I don't have the same reactions as other people. But without the tingly sensations it's hard to find anything to enjoy, at least for me.

I listened to all of the ones in this thread (parts of them, anyhow) and I have to admit, they do nothing for me. Yes, I'm using headphones (with headphone amp) and I think part of the problem for me is the terrible audio quality. The only binaural audio clip that has ever done anything for me is this one: Virtual Barber Shop

A lot of people get the same sensations from watching people fold airplanes or some lets players. It is sometimes visual and sometimes auditory stimulation. These women who do it try to cater to a certain audience by tapping/ whispering etc but it's definitely not the fact that they are women that give me the sensations.

These videos dont do it for me, I get it from music all the time though - usually music that I associate with something specific.

That said, the MeridianWhispers chick is gorgeous.

My life got destroyed when i first discovered this years ago. I'd spent hours everynight asmring. I couldn't sleep without asmr etc.

Now i'm indifferent to most of them. I probably got OD'd at some point.

(yes i've started with bob ross and some local tv's cooking show)

I get this sensation all the time when listening to good music. Really strong pulses down my back, it can be pretty intense.

I don't understand why this is so confusing to the lot of you

it's relaxing videos by whispering things. Done.

First two gave me headache, but third made me laugh pretty well. I do not what it was but i could not stop smiling and laughing. Last did nothing, but it has way too much static as does second video.
Gonna play third video again and se how long smile lasts.

Edit: why is it all whispering? It is not easy to have pleasing whisper voice.

I love it.

Big fan of:

RelaxingASMR the dude has a very soothing voice, and is passionate about his hobbies (FountainPen GAF should love it)

ASMRrequests a funny (and yes, also pretty) women with a broad range of stuff. Great production values as well.

Heather Feather is also very nice.

I remember the first time I got tingles from watching/listening to something was during a makeup scene in Edward Scissorhands. Ever have anyone write something on your back with their fingers? It was so much like that feeling and a wanted to feel that again. Do I rewinded the scene and watched it over. And again. And again. I must have been 9-10 years old.

That said, the make up videos do nothing for me.

This is my favorite makeup video

different sensation. thats frisson

Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I do experience frisson with music, usually from a really good album I've never heard before, but I don't experience anything with this ASMR.

I was a little confused that I would experience it with music but not with ASMR, but now that you've shown me the difference that confusion is gone, plus I know the word to describe that sensation.

the girl in the last video in the op is really cute

the roleplaying is too awkward to watch for me though

was just reading the comments....And bam!:

For those who are wondering, she deleted her videos because basically someone who saw her online actually found out where she lived and/or worked and went to see her. Creeped her out, as well as her family. I appreciate all of her videos and I have them saved to my computer, but I think it's a little bit sketchy to mirror them and post them without her permission, being that the reason she took them down was because she didn't want to be seen online anymore for her own safety and peace of mind.

Internet, you never cease to disappoint me.

There's always super creepy comments on these videos.

Is this for people who don't have significant others to pamper them. I don't even know, I've legit tried listening to one of these but it does nothing for me. I would find an actual touch to be far more pleasing than any bullshit ass whispering or sound effects. Also is the ambient hum from them turning up the gain on their shitty mics supposed to add or detract from whatever they're doing?

I used to get that tingly feeling in the back of my head/neck often when I was little. Usually when gettin a haircut. Or any kind of 1-1 attention like at the doctors office. Never knew what it was so I was pleasantly surprised when I stumbled across asmr on youtube few months back. These videos are awesome cause I can experience those tingles now anytime I want. Its not sexual at all for me either. The ear to ear vids are my fav cause i don't even have to watch them to get tingles all I have to do is lay back with some headphones and close my eyes.

For people confused or weirded out. Asmr really is basically a feeling you get in the lower back of your head that can really only be described as a tingling sensation almost like pins and needles. triggers vary from person to person and not everyone experiences. The point of these vids is to recreate common triggers so people can experience asmr more frequently as it occurs less often in day to day life.

yep, it's subjective.
For example I can get the same result by hearing warm water, flowing in the bathtub.
