If the framing device turns out to be true and the thread title isn't Wonder Woman |OT| But Her Emails then someone screwed up.

Nah it isn't but as the above pointed out people will complain no matter what

Then let people complain. Lets be real. Most comic book movies are safe as fuck. They are your typical action/thrillers with the facade of iconic superheros as the main actors. It's what gives these movies more credence than they are honestly worth.

I think it sounds like nonsense in this context. Letter writing can be used well as a story-telling device. This isn't one of them.
Yes, and there is a guy who flies and shoots heat from his eyes. Symbols being assigned to each JL member by Lex hardly suspends belief given this context.

Also it follows up from Bruce sending e-mails to Diana about her World War 1 photo in BvS.

Personally, I don't see anything wrong with this. He found the photo and asked her about it through email. What bothers you about it?

Yea I'm not seeing the issue really

What are you talking about? Seriously. Is there some design of Ares which was been consistent and iconic in the DC universe? I couldn't even tell you what he looked like beyond, "I think it's a big strong guy with a beard probably" and I've been reading comics for 25+ years. Please, the design is totally fine and in line with all the versions of him depicted in comics that I've seen just looking him up now.

Eh, maybe you're right. That bone helmet thing just struck me as needless creative influence - I guess a Greek helmet for a Greek god isn't challenging enough for them.

Well, in fairness, the dragon cow skull will almost certainly look better in the movie.

Where in the OP does it state this?
I said it said that?

Edit: I'd rather not have the movie about the most iconic female superhero involve a scene where she's ignorant about sex because "no men hehe" and her American suitor asks her about her sexual ignorance. It's fucking dumb.

Toy-Fair-2017-Mattel-DC-029.jpg

The New York Toy Fair is going on this weekend. So far we’ve had a cool look at premium Justice League figures, a badass RC Batmobile, and now we have our first look at the villain Ares from Wonder Woman courtesy of the upcoming action figure line from Mattel.

Diana finishes her e-mail by saying Superman's death has shown her people are capable of being good and accepts to join Batman's team.

How?
We barely knew Superman before he got killed and we didn't see him bringing out the best in people.

Also it seems like this movie would have been much shorter and could have easily been slotted at the end of Superman VS Batman.

Guess we should've never had a Captain America movie then...

That's different World War 2 actually plays a huge part of Captain America as he's the solder out of time.

WonderWoman however seems like a step backwards as we are getting an origin story for her, despite seeing her in Superman Vs Batman and already knowing part of her backstory thus making her movie redundant.

Tying back to Captain America, he was was the last of the solo phase one movie with the avenger bringing everything together and ending phase one.

DC however hasn't done that as instead of taking their time and building up the DC universe they decided to jump to the big crossover in their second movie and did a piss poor job of it.

It's odd, but this is the same woman who's never seen a human man.

Yeah...thats the problem. Are you seriously implying that women wouldn't know what sex is because theyve never had it with a male? How phalocentric does it get?

How?

Seriously. And further more, if that was the case, then why the hell does she need to be convinced AGAIN into joining the team? Wouldn't this make much more sense if this took place during the events of BvS, so as to tie in her original change in opinion of deciding to help humanity? This has to be fake. (God damn WB please dont let this be real).

Sounds Standard and by the numbers. Not sure if the ending is legit considering there were present day scenes shot at some sort of Wayne business.

I was worried about that slo-mo after the first trailer. It just screamed that it was going to be a crutch for the choreography.

This sounds generic enough that it could be fake or it could be real and I wouldn't be surprised with either result.

If real, this is gonna be 2017s Doctor Strange but with a wasted cast and no trippy visuals. Just really standard. Also an overshadowed lead which... isn't surprising.

If fake... let's be real, the movie will still probably play out quite similar to this.

Eh just saying. maybe they don't have sex. it's off and weird don't get me wrong, but I also don't think it's going to be this huge thing people make a big deal out of either.

I really hate how prevalent it seems, based on the trailer.

Even Snyder managed to get beyond that crutch. Watching the trailer feels like watching someone emulate the ridiculous slow motion he was famous for.

Maybe, but it certainly undermines a significant aspect of what makes this movie interesting. I actually find it ridiculously absurd and can't believe this is actually in the movie.

On second thought, I think i'd find it even more offensive if they knew what sex was and didn't enjoy it until men showed up.

This is kinda unfair. Slo-mo isn't really a crutch, and his speed-ramping shit got memed to death but it wasn't really ever used that much by him.

Snyder & slo-mo became a knee-jerk meme like Abrams and lensflare did. If anything, Snyder's discarding the effect from his toolbox for weak reasoning kinda hurt Man of Steel.

Also, if this shit is real (which is still iffy) it does come from a test screening. As Marston pointed out already, that means some of the dumb shit can be cut. No guarantee it ends up in the movie.

No guarantee this is accurate, either.

Personally the daughter of zeus option is the most boring shit.

The only thing that ever did something interesting with being the kid of a god was Percy Jackson, the books not the movies

I can't agree with that. Man of Steel's action benefited from showing the power of the fights without slowing them down. I'm envisioning some of those same scenes, but in Watchmen-like slow-motion, and nope, I don't like it. That movie had slow motion which wasn't used to punctuate antyhing. Dropping 10-feet from a helicopter in slow motion. Why? For what?

Hated it.

The movie bothered to bring up the question in the first place. They could've just not said anything and you'd probably fill it in like "Oh, yeah, it's an island full of adult women. They probably do have sex, don't they?"

Greg Rucka made a point to say "Diana is bisexual." Grant Morrison went so far as to embrace it and make it part of the Amazonian culture.

"They don't know what sex is" is not only a stupid notion, it's an incredibly gross one.

Like I said. It's weird and odd, but I don't think it's something most audiences will clutch their pearls at. That said. This is a test screening and could very well not end up in the movie.

The Amazons being reincarnated women who died from violence and Diana being a golem given life from soul of the first child to die was my favorite wonder woman stuff.

Yep, what little I read from the Pérez run was pretty boring imo but that first issue was a brilliant reinvention of the WW origin. The reincarnation thing was very powerful.

Regarding action / slow-mo, Damon Caro (aka Joe Chill) is second unit director and handling stunts on Wonder Woman. He's worked in a similar capacity with Snyder on all of his movies, so naturally you may see some similarities there.
