Wonder Woman Official Trailer

So the plot of the Wonder Woman movie, the first solo female superhero movie, is started by the appearance of a man?
I don't know why I always get these "aggressive" reactions :/

But this will be my first DC superhero movie since Nolan's Batman, and I have skipped some Marvel and Fox superheroes too lately. It will probably feel fresh to see this when the time comes.

Just like with JL, not really feeling anything about the trailer. Will wait and see, hoping that SS will do good and restore some faith for me in DDCU so i can be hype for this.

Just watched BvS Ultimate last night and it has me so psyched for this movie and Justice League. What they are doing with Wonder Woman is awesome, she's so badass.

Cause you frame it badly

Unless I'm mistaken, Trevor's tied in pretty heavily into her origins anyway

Love the setting and the grittiness works here. Not sure if I still like Gadot as Wonder Woman but definitely will check it out. I think it'll be fun to watch with females, just because of the message it will likely portray.

Best wishes.

Looks pretty faithful to the source. Im still not sold on Gadot's acting chops, but she looks great in the part. Hopefully this'll be a more exciting version of The First Avenger.

On the subject of slow motion. How about this for a geekily inflexible opinion? Anyone who thinks any cinematic technique is inherently good or bad doesn't deserve to have an opinion and should stick to funny books. We cool? We good?

That's Wonder Woman's origin story: Steve Trevor crashes on Themyscira, prompting Diana to take him back to Man's World and save the world from somebody (usually Ares).

One aspect of this film that interests me is how it ends, at least in respect of the First World War portions, because it seems like Batman v. Superman locks this into a downer storyline. Diana in the present day claims that "a hundred years ago, I walked away from mankind; from a century of horrors. Men made a world where standing together is impossible." So it seems like she's going to end up pretty disillusioned, perhaps even isolated from everybody else (it doesn't sound like she and Steve walked off into the sunset or anything).

Connection from the photo in BvS to the trailer,

Considering just how gruesome WW1 was, I can totally believe that the film ends with Diana walking away from the battlefield completely disillusioned.

I also think it's a safe bet that Steve's not making it out of the film alive either.

I'm not saying that it's implausible, merely that it's rather a grim origin film for what is typically meant to be an inspiring character. It's not atypical for them to have crises of faith at some point, but that's usually a mid-act moment for a sequel, not the ending of the first film.

I think it's a shame both Steve and Etta are just going to be featured one time.
I've wondered about that too. Diana doesn't exactly have the most consistent supporting cast in the world, and Steve and Etta are by far the most notable human supporting characters she's ever had (though writers have consistently struggled with what to do with them since Marston died).

It's the worst. The faster people move, the better the action. Slow motion is totally antithetical to good action. Trash trash trash, always has been, always will be.

Oh weird, you're right. I watched some Marvel movies at 2x speed and all fight scenes became objectively better.

are we still doubting gadot? she fucking carried BvS, imagine that movie without her appearance. movie wouldn't have a single highlight, would've been outright trash. her interactions with Bruce were great and when she showed up in the Doomsday fight everyone lost it.

She is not going to win any awards, and she doesn't need to. She looks like WW, loves playing the character, didn't see anything atrocious in BvS (she was the best part of the entire movie) and have yet to see anything in this movie that makes me cautious. This trailer was amazing, I'm looking forward more to this than the actual team up movie. Good job, Patty Jenkins and co.

I wouldn't be surprised if they pull some immortality thing with Steve. Seems too much of a waste to use Chris Pine for just one film.

You are speaking a lot of truth here.

She was the KEY to all the most entertaining stuff in BVS.

Steve's grandson that looks just like him will show up at the end of the movie in the modern day I bet.
