Wonder Woman Trailer #2

Trailer looks good, but that theme from BvS comes in at the end...

It looks OK. It seems like Chris Pine is gonna be the best thing about this. The colour grading in the Themyscira scenes is nice.
Again: That electric-violing butt-rock Zimmerthing they gave to Diana for Batman v. Superman worked—in Batman v. Superman. There hasn't been a trailer yet for this movie where it doesn't hang off the ass end of it like a fucking rat-tail.
Yep. It's jarring as fuck.

indeed.

they need to do the theme in a classy way.

violins or some shit like that.

Looks cool, however, I'm not gonna get my hopes up too much. BVS's last trailer was also quite good. If anything it looks like it's going to be visually "nice". I can't stand the overuse of grey though.

I think it's fun music, but I still believe it's wildly inappropriate as an actual theme for Wonder Woman. Her theme should sound way more "mythological / heroic" sounding, and not use a electric cello.

This trailer actually put me in the cautiously optimistic category, looks fun. If it hits Dark World levels of competence I will be okay with that, tbh. The little theme song bit at the end is a little jarring tho lol.

Great trailer, but Man of Steel, Batman v. Superman, and Suicide Squad all had great trailers too.

Hoping DC knocks this one out of the park.

I realize speaking about sequels before this releases to unknown box office performance is jumping the gun, but it's a little sad that by setting it in the past you lose Steve Trevor and Etta Candy for a potential sequel. And I like what I've seen of both. At least the amazons theoretically shouldn't be a problem.

violins or some shit like that.

Diana reading Bruce's old man typing emails in BvS has a classier take on the theme.

I think the theme is fine in trailers and whatnot. But I question if it makes an appearance in the movie, except maybe at the very very end or credits, like the Bond theme in Casino Royale.

I love the theme but they're going to need to have an era appropriate version of it in the movie itself. You just know it'll build to a swell when she kicks ass as Wonder Woman for the first time (like during that big battlefield scene). The electric cello going nuts in a World War 1 battle scene might be a little jarring, even for a movie where a woman is deflecting mortar rounds with her shield.

Training stuff looks great and the whip action

I like the theme in BvS but yeah that shit sounds so tacked on in these trailers. You'd think they would coopt the melody but make it orchestral to suit this specific movie

Zimmermullet on the trailer aside:

I liked the commercial. It played well. If anything, it seems to parallel the structure of Superman: The Movie - where we're gonna get some pretty fuckin out-there fantasy elements for the first 45 minutes, and then once she hits the big city, we're going to be in solid superhero stuff.

I mean, it's a pretty well-tested formula, so I'm not averse to seeing how Jenkins & Co. employ it.

:>

wonderwomaaaaaaaaan <3

ugh, i might be biased but i really am quite hype for this. i know me being a woman doesn't really have any bearing since ww has male fans too but i wants this to be good so bad.

she will slay * ___ *

Hey, that's pretty good.

I said this in the other thread, and I know it's mega nitpicky, but there's some funky color grading going on.

Everything else looked good, I don't have high hopes since it's DC, but at least I won't go in thinking it's a big turd because of the trailers.

If anything, they should keep the theme and scrap the movie.

At the very least based on trailers the movie looks generic. Which isn't a bad thing all the time. Of course you'll have some people pushing a narrative like they are trying to "hide" Gal's acting even though she's featured prominently in the trailer.

If the movie flows well and hits the right notes that's good. It doesn't have to be amazing. I would love it to be, but if it's just good that works too.

I seriously can't tell if you're just fucking with me or not, I'm sorry. I apologize if I'm missing the gag here.

Also, I got the sense the music as it was building in the trailer proper coulda maybe been her new theme. If there's a new theme

(there should be a new theme)
Not really. You guys are looking at this the wrong way. The theme is distinct it calls back to her prior appearance, it makes sense to use it to promote the film about that character.

In the film Jenkins said it would be used rather in specific and limited ways.

A generic but solid enough movie is what the DCEU needs right now. Sadly, it isn't what I'm interested in seeing at the cinema... hopefully it'll end up being something more.

Looked pretty good.
As for the theme, I wouldn't be surprised if they have an orchestral version of it for the movie.

awesome trailer, hate the little music when the logo shows up tho.

guess im pretencious >_>

I like the theme, I still like it here but I wish they would have just took the melody and other bits and pieces to make an original theme.

Trailer was dope, I was sold before and still am.

Well that's a personal problem then. The consensus is that track is awesome and people love hearing it.

That said. Trailer looks fine. Looks like a typical origins movie which is something needed right now.

I don't think the theme is bad but they really need to move on from that Zimmer/Junkie xl WW sound. That theme is not super heroic at all.

For me, this is a true Wonder Woman theme which is way better than the one from BvS.

Speaking of the theme, I quite like it but it totally doesn't fit the trailer at all. If they REALLY wanted to use that in the trailer, they should've used a different version of it, one that fit the tone of the whole trailer better.

This trailer didn't do anything for me. I'll proceed with caution and be hopeful they don't ruin another of my favorite characters.

Am genuinely excited for this one. I know all the other DCCU movies have been shit, but Patty Jenkins is directing god dammit! She can't fuck this up!
