Words/Phrases that are dying out

What I find fascinating is how some words or phrases can make a comeback.

Like for instance, Jon Lovitz's catchphrase when he was on SNL, "That's the ticket!". I came across that in a book from the 1920s.

Since I can't find the one with the guy with the glasses.

I definitely don't miss people saying "dayuuuuum" in that loud, obnoxious voice.

I've been using groovy for a few years now. I was inspired by rewatching Army of Darkness.

"coon's age": "it's probably been a coon's age since I've seen star wars"

"since nam": "wow, I haven't seen a pair of good looking jean shorts since nam".

If I'm hungry I sometimes say, "damn, I'm hungry as a boy right now." Or tired, "damn, I'm tired as a boy right now."

haha. people love my phrases.

Chris (from Family Guy): I'm so hungry, I could ride a horse. ---- I don't get it.

Slightly OT, but does anyone remember a word from the early-mid 80s: "sped"? Like you would call someone a "sped": "ugh, that guy's a poser and a sped". I seem to remember my teenage skateboarding uncles using it all the time, but I might have just been confused - I was like 6 at the time.

Sadly, not many people say, "dope" anymore. Like, "hey, this new song is dope"

I'm still carrying the torch though.

Oh I totally do.

I get shit all the time for saying "dope" and "rad".
