Wow guys. Some of you people take the internet way too seriously. :lol

The View is incredible because one of the cardinal rules of broadcasting is that you DON'T talk over one another. Yet 60% of the show is these vapid babblewhores clawing for precious airtime. It's unlistenable.

From now on I will refer to The View as this. :lol

you can really take her serious after the rape rape comment? huh

You do know that rape and rape rape are separately codified crimes in most jurisdictions, don't you? She was just using legal terms of art.

Whoopi is like the embodiment of everything that is wrong with Hollywood. I liked her better when she just made movies, and was part of Comic Relief. When will Hollywood learn that we don't care about your crazy world views.

She also Gave Gibson a pass for being a racists.

What's this rape rape stuff about?
Hollywood defending roman Polanski, Whoopi said it wasn't rape rape.

It gets mentioned quite a bit in this thread http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=375377

So am I wrong or wrong wrong?

WrongÂł

Edit:

Rape means that the woman was the victim of unwanted sexual penetration but secretly wanted it.

Rape Rape is the more serious counterpart to rape, where the woman was the victim of unwanted sexual penetration, and subsequently feels violated.

Bill O'Reily is the guest. Lots of shouting and talking over each other going on. O'Reily makes the claim the ground zero mosque is "inappropriate" because "Muslims killed us on 9/11". Shit gets crazier. Whoopi and Joy Behar storm off the stage. Babwa Wawa tries to keep everybody calm.

Does shit like this go down on a regular basis?
That's The View in a nutshell.

I love Bill's facial reaction after the fat black woman asks him "Have you ever tried asking God?" It marks the exact moment where he has permanentally and irrevocably registered this woman as an idiot.

I haven't seen very much of this show but it seems like that Joy Behar lady is the anchor of reason for the show. Is that a fair assumption or are they all equally insane?

I was just about to say this. Both my mother and grandmother are avid followers of the show, as was a girl I dated, so I've caught my fair share of it over the years. And yeah, Joy is by far the most rational & 'sensical' cast member. Whoopi's bounces between reasonable and moronic depending on the topic while Sherri & Elizabeth always exhibit a rare level of idiocy reached by few human beings.

The creation vs evolution debate is fun to watch.

When you have a panel where Whoopi Goldberg is the (relatively) sole voice of reason, you know you're dealing with some grade-A nutjobs. The View is lowest common denominator crap. How it's ever won a single award is baffling.

I was expecting much, much worse. The first four minutes I was pretty much in agreement with. The last minute or so, not so much.

The evolution debate brings out all sorts of arrogance and stupid from both sides, who tend to be equally clueless once you delve deeper into the question, "Do you believe in evolution?" I suspect that the average scientist who studies evolution for a living would cringe at any given GAF thread on the subject, regardless of whether it leans towards belief. Most people's knowledge of evolution is little more than trivia.

The basic concept of natural selection is easy to understand, well within the grasp of non-scientists. It's one of those ideas that's obvious once it's been pointed out. So even a rudimentary knowledge of it is enough to appreciate its significance. There's a big difference between asking the public to understand evolutionary theory and, say, the Standard Model in particle physics.

Walking off stage might have been the lamest thing I've seen on television. I seriously do not get people who can't handle listening to opinions they disagree with, even strongly disagree with. It only serves to show how absolutely linearly their minds work.

That said, Bill regularly cuts off people on his show when they start talking about something he can't refute.

The outrage would be the same, but the media wouldn't care nearly as much. Nice preemptive name-calling of anyone who dares to think differently than yourself too. That'll learn em!
Since this glorified ymca with a prayer room is several blocks away from ground zero, then yeah, i actually think labeling the opposition as grandstanding bigots has more validity than you would think.

I love how the deaths of Muslims inside the towers is conveniently ignored within the rationalizations of people like O'Reilly. Just as they "forget" that Muslims risk their lives for their country every day in Afghanistan and Iraq while they propagate and scapegoat without filter for fundamentalist extremism safely at home. These people attack the very foundations of what makes America the country it is: freedom of religion, liberty itself. It's quite ironic and part of Al Qaeda's greatest victory from the terror they inflicted on 9/11. Fear overriding reason; liberty endangered by the "patriots" who claim to "protect" it the loudest.

What the fuck? She doesn't know if the world is flat or not?
I love how she said the thought never crossed her mind. Really? Isn't that one of the most common questions kids have? "I'm just worried about feeding my family"...I love Barbara's comment: "you can do both..." :|

The fat black woman thinks the world is flat. Seriously.

The attractive blonde one is a raging neocon that hates everything and says dumb shit all the time.

America.
She's dumb as hell but at least she's promoting Celiac disease awareness

That's all I got, man
