Yeah, I feel like Blizzard doesn't understand why all those survival/crafting pseudo-MMO's are so popular. You start those games with nothing, yet you're wonder-struck by what a handful of players have made. There's value in feeling like you're part of something else's story - whether that something is a guild, clan or even player.
Nail on the head. You should work for blizzard.

No, apparently Maiev stored him in a dungeon along with the other demon hunters and he went and freed them.
I can't work out what Gul'dan and Illidan would do together though. How does freeing Illidan benefit Gul'dan?

And yeah I agree that I prefer a storyline that doesn't treat me or my character as the main saviour/hero when the world is filled with other players that get told the same thing. It breaks immersion rather than add to it.

Right. Getting zero information about that statement which is all people care about. Of course there will be new dungeons, the question is how are you going to change the design to keep them meaningful.

I can't work out what Gul'dan and Illidan would do together though. How does freeing Illidan benefit Gul'dan?

The last time Gul'dan freed someone, he just ended up getting killed by them. He doesn't think these things through very well.
 
So far no mention of the fact that WoD was awful and that there is no player-to-player interaction.

Yep, they lost the plot on this one for sure.

What? No. When I play minecraft I don't go 'Wow I'm part of this guys story!', when I play minecraft I do it to have my own adventures and build my own things. The customization of the artifacts kinda mimics that, you choose your specialization, how it looks, etc.
 
Artifacts seem like a terrible idea. Everyone runnin around with the same weapons pretty much. More alt time line bull. Wth I thought Illidan was dead and not just "dead".

Also as a rogue it seems like they might as well chuck the class all together. We didn't perform that great this expansion they left assassination to rot. Monks and now demon hunters chipping away and marginalizing our class flavor.
 
Do people actually care about the dungeon lore stuff the guy is talking about? I quit wow with cataclysm but from time to time I get the itch to go back again. Why aren't they talking about what kind of encounters you can look forward to? I mean the lore is nice to have but who ultimately cares?
 
I don't mind them bringing back Illidan, as I never felt his story was done justice in BC. But Blizzard seriously needs to start working on new lore instead of retreading the old stories. They need to be planning new stories now, as making them good requires them establish characters and plot lines now, not just before they are used.

I think I missed the part that was going to make me want to continue running dungeons after a few weeks. Didn't he say something about that being an issue early on? What was the solution exactly?
