Those pesky little worms, intent on nothing more than blowing up other worms, may be making their way to the Xbox Live Arcade in due course according to posts on Team 17's forums. It would be excellent to see Worms make it over, as its multiplayer suitability and quirky gameplay are core ingredients for a hit.

We won't be seeing it any time soon if it does make it over; according to the forums, it "won't be a quick port".

“Actually, MS did contact us about this last year and there have been forward moving discussions. We do see it as a pivotal and perhaps ideal place for the series to land, a view shared by various XB360 Live Arcade planning folks.

However, for one reason and another (to be honest, mainly our obligations with PSP/DS) the development didn’t happen (actually we were on the XBLA dev list around E3 time) but now that we’ve experienced just how awesome XB Live is on 360, we’ve resurrected the conversations. I wouldn’t expect it anytime shortly (and it won’t be a quick port of Armageddon etc) but it is on the agenda.

Also, if it did make it, it’d be a 2D version with a lot of downloadable content - which is something Live Arcade is very cool about.”

Make it happen, Team 17! I want the original Worms game with good quality 2D graphics. No gimmicks, and absolutely NO elements of the 3D games.

I wonder if devs like Konami are going to get behind Arcade. Who would say no to a nice port of Castlevania or Metal Gear for 400 Gamer points?

Bomberman is one of the obvious candidates as well. Bomberman would be perfect for XBL Arcade - it's simple to play, it's fun, and you can play it for 5 minutes or three hours.

Hudson is already an official Live Arcade Developer. Of course this does not guarantee released titles, but still...

If they're on the list then that's a good start. No guarantee that they'll ever release Bomberman but they would be stupid not to do it

Not only does Hudson still own Bomberman, but they are developing it for the 360 (Bomberman: Act Zero). It'll surely emphasize single-player and have a 3D multiplayer mode, though. Give us a remake of Saturn Bomberman 2D for Live Arcade.
