Worst anime you've ever seen?

-Ikkitousen
-That other high school fighting anime with the two sisters, the guy who gets shit on, and the lucky bastard who gets to hook up with one of the sisters. It has that rad opening, but it went downhill instantly after it.
-Knights of Ramune
-Skip Beat
only because they only ever did one season.

I've never really made it through a comedy/parody anime. I generally just loose interested. Doesn't mean they are all that bad.

Panty and Stocking is fucking awful. I couldn't make it past episode 4.

Outside of the final couple of episodes I didn't like Gurren Lagann that much.

I watched the first episode of Kill la Kill and thought that wasn't much better than Panty and Stocking.

I may just hate Hiroyuki Imaishi's brand of anime though. Feels like his shows are so kinetic and over-the-top that it loses all effectiveness.

Johnathan hates you.

Blood+
Samurai 7
Sword Art Online

I don't watch too much anime but Blood+ was absolutely wretched. Samurai 7 was typical Gonzo shite. And SAO is just filled with disgusting pandering and lonely teen wish fulfillment.

Isn't Mars of Destruction like 10 minutes long, or am I mixing it up with something else?

That's about right, and that's a pretty good choice.
The worst animated production I've seen is Space Thunder Kids, a mashup of cheap South Korean knockoffs into a completely incoherent "story". There's no attempt made to create any sort of consistency as it cuts between materials from different shows. Once the initial shock that someone thought this was an acceptable product wears off, it's super boring. It does not get worse than this.

Another great choice, although I guess that might be more like South Koreamie.

A couple of titles that I would throw into the ring are Apocalypse Zero and Yami to Bōshi to Hon no Tabibito.

Madoka, second being Sword Art Online.

Honorable mention to dub original series Naruto but I can't bring myself to hate it because of how cheesy it is.

I've only watched a handful of anime in my life (less than 10) but the only ones I disliked were

Pokemon - Even as a kid with low standards and a big fan of the games I found this to be incredibly boring.

Cowboy Bebop - I only watched about 6 episodes of this, but everything about it was extremely bland and lifeless and it has some of the worst music I've ever heard

One Piece - Horrible artstyle, annoying music, annoying voices

WHAT THE FUCK, what's wrong with you?

Also, the worst I've watched is Excel Saga.

The one I hate the most is probably Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood, but it's not at all the worst I've ever seen by any means. That would probably go to Eiken, Girls Bravo, Danganronpa, Inuyasha, Asobi ni Iku Yo, Kekkaishi, Bleach, or even though it doesn't quite count, Kappa Mikey.

Baoh! looks great.

- Fairy Tail
- Ikkitousen

Fairy Tail was just really boring to me, and I didn't enjoy the designs for characters at all. Ikkitousen was just one big panty shot anime. No cool fighting, just a whole bunch of ecchi with a little bit of fighting on the side.

Cowboy Bebop is boring as fuck outside of like 4 episodes, but the music is the best thing ever. Probably top 3 anime soundtracks ever.

I am saddened to see that Chargeman Ken has yet to be mentioned. The episodes are REALLY short, so it has that going for it, but...look it up. Seriously.

"Forgive me, Dr. Volga!"

It's pretty damn easy to avoid blatantly bad anime, it's also very rare for me to jump into an anime from the first episode or without "researching" beforehand.

Sword Art Online for example I haven't bothered with past the first few episodes because I know what it descends into.

Naruto Shippuden might be the worst, bad animation, bad pacing, its horrible use of filler is only rivaled by Bleach. Bad Bad Bad.

This is a tough question for me. If I don't like something, I'm not going to watch 10 more episodes of it even if there's a lot of hype around it.

There are exceptions, like the most disappointing would be Death Note for obvious reasons.

There was a fanservice show, RIN Daughters of Mnemosyne. Only 6 episodes. If you're into bdsm fetish, it's worth a watch even though it's fucking stupid and misogynist from top to bottom.

Golden Boy (English dub). That is all.

I made it through that no problem and I thought it was hilarious. Maybe it's the length or something. Never made it through Lucky Star, Azumanga Daioh, Excel Saga, which I've heard are supposed to be pretty good or know people who enjoyed the series.

I should give Gintama a try too, but I think I need some sort of drama or story to go along with my comedy.

Having flashbacks to possible one of the worst character designs ever...Hamuko AKA Beauty

I cast my vote towards Space Thunder Kids as well. I could only watch it all the way through with the aid of people riffing on it.

Definitely Eiken.

And funny how the first post mentions Evangelion, as I actually just finished watching NGE this morning. I can't deny that there are problems with it, especially near the end, but calling it the worst? Consider yourself lucky then, haha.

I just don't understand

Bebop's music is predominantly jazz. There are plenty of people out there who don't like jazz. I'm honestly always surprised by how many people here say Bebop has the best soundtrack EVAR. Really.. that many jazzheads on gaf? Who knew.

AD Police or Angel Links. Both are pure garbage.

Honorable mentions would be War on Geminar, Boogiepop Phantom, Please Twins, and Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien.

Chuunibyou Demo Koi ga Shitai!

Irredeemably amoral garbage. "Yes, it's okay, don't worry about growing into an adult, it's perfectly fine to live in denial for the rest of your life because of one tragic loss in your life. There there, nobody will ever judge you. Hush."

I love Jazz ever since I was introduced to it in my Music History class last year. I even listen to it while studying now. It may seem weird at first but if people actually try it they will appreciate it's greatness. That being said Bebops music is amazing in my view it's not just good anime jazz it's good jazz.
