Would you buy a Ninja Gaiden Trilogy? PS4/XBO

I would strongly consider it, though PC ports would probably be preferable so I could grab 1 and 2 without 3. It would be nice if the original Black were available so I could see what all the "Sigma sucks!" hullabaloo is about.

Not so much. None of those 3D NG games have aged too well in the gameplay department imo. I played a couple of them again not too long ago and the camera in that first game in particular is godawful.

Could be the likes of Bayonetta 1 and 2 might have kind of ruined stuff like NG for me so it's hard to go back, but either way it's not a series I'm in any hurry to revisit, even if it did come out on PC.

Absolutely, as long as it's not the Sigma versions. It would be nice to have them included, but the original Xbox games need to be there to make it worthwhile.

Would you buy a Ninja Gaiden trilogy Remake for the PS4/XBO?

Something like what happen with the SNES

( It would be awesome if they Made Ninja Gaiden 2 sigma uncensored also :) )

What would Tecmo have to do to get you to buy the trilogy for PS4/XBO?

I know the question is about the console versions, but I would like to be able to buy the games on Steam, especially the first one. I don't care if it's Sigma or not because modders nowadays can create miracles, tbh.

Well, since the game can't run the same amount of enemies on screen, the made the game "harder" with a lot of 1 hit kills, the removed the incendiary shirikens, the laggy co op missions, different moves on some weapons. They tried to make the game better, only to make it boring. Performance is just as bad as NG2, a little better.
Don't let me get started on the bow... Damn that one is awful...
No test of valor, no karma missions. They've taken away some of the most fun parts of the vanilla just to some boring enchancements.

Still waiting for the return of Itagaki to save the franchise...

Eh, that's not broken. Sigma 2 was dumbed down but not broken. Plus the performance is way better that NG2 although they removed enemies on screen.

NG2 is way better doe :^)

No, I want a new one that caters to the style of NG 1 for the OG xbox. That challenge destroyed me in tears, and felt so great beating it.

I've seen the differences between original 2 and Sigma 2, but what about Black and Sigma 1? I don't see that talked about very much.

Sigma 1 adds a few new shops and save statues, a couple new enemies, a new weapon, a new character you play as in a few short chapters, and it streamlines some of the "puzzles".

It is the same damn game essentially. I prefer Sigma.

While I don't enjoy 2 and Razor's Edge as much as the first I'd probably still be on board even if it was Sigma instead of Black.
Its success could get going a terrifying Collection 2 of Dragon Sword, standard Ninja Gaiden 3 and Yaiba (I'm kinda sorry for lumping you in with these DS)

So...that's it? I played Sigma but never Black (no Xbox) and all I ever hear is Sigma sucks.

Do the extra save statues reduce the difficulty in Sigma?

Because it sounds like Sigma just added stuff to Black, instead of taking anything away.

Sure. I'd pretty much have to get it cause i dont want NG on last gen and my DOA5 copy on current gen. Yes i'm OCD like that.

Yes the extra save statues reduce difficulty. You can also use a potion in Sigma while an enemy is doing a grab on you which wasn't possible in Black.

But it's not a huge departure from Black by any means. The fiend challenges are actually more numerous and a bit harder in Sigma.

Nope. I've already triple dipped on the first NG, and had double dipped on NG2, although I didn't like it that much. No interest in NG3 whatsoever.

Ninja Gaiden NES trilogy? Of course.

Ninja Gaiden 360/PS3? Hell no. The first game is amazing. The second game is unnecessarily difficult and cheap. Never played the third but it is my understanding that it's not at good as even the second.

Its certainly easier, like NGS2. But some find that a cardinal sin. I don't really mind it. For more casual players its not going to matter at all. For SGS2 in particular, i think they fixed a few more things than they changed cause NG2 was just a broken mess in regards masquerading as being 'challenging'

Well damn what's with all the Sigma hate lol?

Sigma 1 and Black are pretty similar, so I could really take either version.

NG2 and Sigma 2 on the other hand... Well, Sigma 2 fixes some stuff and adds new problems into the mix. Sigma 2 takes away some of the shitty bosses from 2... while substituting them with boring giant statue bosses or boring bosses in general (or just start taking bosses from Black/Sigma 1). Sigma 2 takes away exploding shuriken spam... but drastically decreases the amount of enemies that you fight (and oddly enough, slowdown still happens at some points). Sigma 2 tries to have the difficulty progress a little bit more steadly... but then starts adding enemies with OHKO unblockable throws. Sigma 2 tries to add more content with the additional playable girls, but the Rachel missions are still horrendous and they take away Tests of Valor for absolutely no reason at all.

Sigma 2 was a case where Hayashi did not seem to have a grasp on the fact that NG2 Vanilla did have some strengths to it as well before he started changing things up.

Absolutely.

I would prefer one including Black and 2 as well, but since that ain't happening, i'd still settle for playing NG sigma and sigma 2 on a console i actually have hooked to the TV (or on PC, even better).

Yeah I'm aware of all of these but people are acting like it's Ninja Gaiden 3 before Razor's Edge lol. Sigma 2 certainly isn't perfect and does have it's issues but it can still be enjoyable. The funny thing about the incendiary shuriken is that it's actually in Sigma 2, you just can't pick it up or use it lol. Like they forgot to remove it out the game or something. >.>

I'm usually all for remasters and updating games for new platforms, but in this case I wouldn't support it. I think NG Black is a great game, but the quality drops off sharply after that. I would buy an updated NG Black, but not the other NG games.

I'd pay any price for a 1080p 60 fps Ninja Gaiden II. I don't have much interest in the other games since NG2 is several times better than any of them.

Black + NG2 + Razor (latest version)

Yes...but on PC. Not interested in collecting games on systems that will be dead in a handful if years.

Speak for yourself. I love playing as ayane and momiji. Difficulty reduction is sporadic at best. In NG2 its much easier to de-limb some enemies. IS ninjas in sigma take a huge beating compared to NG2 if you don't know what you're doing.

Most enemies have 1 hit kills in sigma 2 MNM, i don't know why any more difficult than that is really a positive on the game's side.

If you're asking to buy the game again. I'm gonna need my preferred versions.
