I undertand your position, but to explain where others are coming from: it's like dating a gynacologist. It's not about the touching of strange genitals; it's about the context in which they are being touched.

I'd absolutely date a porn star if there was a mutual attraction. No issues with her work at all, unless I was worried she was being exploited or enduring what looked like physical abuse in more extreme scenes (even if she's cool with it). Otherwise, no problem. I generally wouldn't mind what she was doing at work as long as she enjoys it, and I get to come to the parties.

Anyone interested in this topic should listen to The Morning After podcast. Comedians get to know porn stars. Very, very few of the porn performers are anything like the 'dumb porn star' stereotype (Juelz Ventura being the most notable exception...probably my favourite episode). The vast majority of women on the show are just like anyone else; if not generally more emotionally savvy and intelligent.

So the one unique, practical downside is the social stigma of dating a porn star. Which is based more on Puritanism, emotional disgust and myths than anything pragmatic. It's not like dating a drug abuser or a violent partner (which actually have less of a stigma)
