Would you rather be a werewolf or vampire?

Which one has the most sex?

Vampire, and it's always with prime tail. Werewolf would do it with anyone, human or dog.

Plus vampires can fly, and they're always the leader.

I'd rather be the mad scientist though.

I'd be a Vampire Diaries (show version) Original-style vampire. Basically can't be killed (for the most part), and if I do die, I take everyone I've ever turned (and anyone they've ever turned) with me. Pretty sweet.

Also, where are you guys getting that you'd have control over your werewolf form? In traditional Werewolf lore and movies, you don't remember anything about it, and you have no control over your actions. Vampire is in full control.

Vampires = Immortality.

But don't Werewolves too?

If you've seen True Blood than this is what it all breaks down........

-Vampires are stronger than any living species on earth.
-Their sex organs are the only things that continue to function on a human level even though the rest of them is completely dead.
-They are immortal. So long as no one spikes them in the heart with wood or silver.

Most of this is laughable, but given the options, I'd take this over some other supernatural being.

You can incline it almost any which way depending on the interpretation that you choose. Depending on the lore, vampires are impotent (due to being dead or not having a pulse), and 'sex' becomes inextricably joined with the hunger for blood or even killing, so in a sense they are either sexless or their 'sex' is the really fucked up kind. And both of those premises seem pretty logical to me (why am I seriously discussing this? lol)

Assuming I could (eventually) find a way to "control the beast" and maintain my humanity in some way? Werewolf, easily. As alluded above, silver is much easier to avoid than sunlight, garlic, crosses and the like...

That's mostly a movie thing. Traditional werewolf lore has the person in control more often than not and it's not something that just happens to them. There was this one irish image of werewolves standing around drinking.

I've always loved werewolves so I would go with that. Of course in some lore the werewolf actually becomes a vampire when they die. Best of both worlds that way.

Werewolf, I love the idea of being one. Heightened metabolism, longer than average life span, sharper senses, stronger, faster, so many benefits to giving up 3 nights a month.

What books did you read on it? The whole negative of being a werewolf is that you have no control over your animalistic behavior just as the vampire needs blood. Otherwise it would be an upgrade in almost every way, and how would that be a tragedy?

It depends on which legend(s) you followed.

For example, the Navajo "skin-walkers" (or "yee naaldlooshii") were pretty much able to turn into wolves (or other types of animals), with perfect control of their forms. And by the time the European colonists came over, there was a lot of "cross-pollination" of their myths with that of the natives'...

Of course, in order to become a skin-walker you had to have broken some type of law (killing a member of your family was a good start!), which usually resulted in being ostracized from your village/family for the rest of your (unnatural) life.

I'd kind of hate to have to drink blood for eternity, but on the other hand I'd hate to be a mindless beast mauling everyone too. Even with this in mind I am dressing up as a Werewolf this year.

dont think so

Well, I remember this piece of fiction I was reading where the werewolves would live up to 130 years of age, and vampires 500+ depending on their class.

Any older and they would be hunted-down and slain.

The kind of vampire that is:

- able to transform into a bat and fly away

- criminally handsome and charismatic

- has his own mansion and creepy butlers

Suck it werewolves!

Vampires live forever, but werewolves do not right? Because if so vampire all the way, though giving up food and the sun wouldn't be so fun :(

I already burn in sunlight without the perks of being a vampire. Maybe a WoD style vampire... as long as my sire wouldn't be a malk or a nosferatu.

Werewolf:
+ Super strength and invulnerability(minus silver).
+ You can still be a normal dude most of the time.
- Can't wear silver jewellery and has to go to the wilderness once a month.

Vampire:
+ Super strength, speed and invulnerability(minus garlic, wooden sticks, sunlight, holy whatever, running water, among others)
+ Immortality, as long as you're willing to kill/drain people.
- Bloodlust
- Nothing to do with daytime ever again

Werewolf, thank you very much.

Vampire.

But I would be a Count Orlock looking Nosferatu-motherfucker, that would stay in a cave all day long and jerk it to porn, only to get out at night to get some food in me.

Huh, when putting it like that, I think I might allready be a vampire.
