Would you rather lose both legs or one arm?

People who say they rather lose their legs are only thinking of their younger healthier self. I wonder how it'd be when they're older and a bit more out of shape. All I know is that when that depression hits, it would hit harder.

Prostetics do help many, I'm not saying they don't, but they don't work for all. In my mother's case for example they were too painful for her.

Is that dude running by an IRL Photoshop window?

If you could sell a testicle, what is the lowest amount of money you would relinquish one for?

That depends, could I see it after it had been operated out and get a photo with it or something? Wouldn't feel right if you didn't get to say goodbye.

Nah we are chill its the 2 leggers with thr attitude problem, forum landmines and all.

Well it's good you are taking it well but I'm fuming here. Think I have to take a small break and go to sleep.

Derail!!!!

$5,000 in Dominican Republican money, live like a 1 nutted king in the DR for the rest of my life.

Wooden don't let them ruin your night :(

Why did I have to be born some weird righty/lefty hybrid, name two things and I probably do them with opposite hands. Still would choose arm though, would just take me a while to decide which.

I've got a buddy with 1 arm. Seeing the shit he can do with just one is pretty amazing.

Ill lose my left arm before even thinking about 1 leg.

I actually asked some Wounded Warriors vets who missing various limbs and their general consensus was that they'd rather have the ability to walk. Twas a very morbid conversation since most of them were around my age (mid 20s).. You can still perform most basic functions in life and the missing limb isn't as noticeable if you were wearing a long sleeved shirt with one sleeve pined up.

The ability to freely walk (again, prostetics don't work for all) is priceless.

Also that feel of pity everyone would give someone without legs is hard to take.

I will go with Non-dominant arm.

If it is dominant arm or legs, I go with Legs.
I can work sitting, I can't work without my dominant arm =/

You do know you can relearn everything on your remaining arm right? God damned idiots..I tell you. All of you must be not be over 10 years old.

Most artisans would take DECADES to re-win the coordination of their main hand.

Silly things:

1) Wheelchair basketball is awesome
2) Wheelchair marathons are awesome
3) Ever try cutting a steak with 1 hand?
4) Ever try hammering something with 1 hand?
5) Ever try opening a beer with one hand?

Shit is hard.

I will just leave this here

That excuse is acceptable. Previous "no excuses" null and void.

I think losing both legs makes you realize how good you have it with two arms, and makes you a better person through the lessons you learn from it. But losing one arm just seems to make you a jerk, while you look back and think about how much better it would be if you had chosen to keep both arms instead.

Same as everyone else, I'd cheat and keep most of my legs and use prosthetics.

Otherwise, arm. Haven't seen anyone who can run with legs chopped off up to the hip.
