Wouldn't it be great if someone made a great Disney game again?

We have been lacking in the next great Disney platformer, but in Kingdom Hearts it showed with the right team it showed how great games could look. They could make just a Disney related RPG around each movie franchise. A Peter Pan or Aladin RPG would actually be great, especially with the graphic engines right now.

Now THIS was a Duck Tales game.

That is the ugliest Ducktales game I have ever seen.

This game is 900 types of awesome. Me and my cousin play it every couple of years and it is soo good.

World of Illusion, while having a mediocre gameplay, was a technical masterpiece and had awesome level designs. I also remember Mickey Mania being decent enough.
edit: beaten:D

As a kid I obviously watched the Indiana Jones movies and i LOVED quackshot.

Only recently (like, last week!) i watched the three indiana jones movies in a row (kind of preparing for the fourth one) and ONLY THEN i noticed that quackshot is totally based off indy.
Hell, even the plane travel sequences are the same.

Great game. We do need more disney games. Enough with the nonsense that is kingdom hearts.

I definitely want to see a decent Disney game again.

Disney should ask Nintendo to help them out.

Kingdom Hearts III

I spent countless hours playing Quackshot when I was a kid. Can't believe I'd forgotten about that game until now.

alladin for the pc was awesome. great side scroller.

It was just a PC port of the Genesis version (and a somewhat inferior one, at that).

It's been mentioned before, but I have heard very good things about the Gameboy Advance and PS2 Kim Possible games. Always something I wanted to try for myself, but I have a hard time biting the bullet, even if my friends say how awesome they are. :lol

With Warren Spector being in Disney now, I am sure something awesome will come along the way. He is not only a brilliant designer but a Disney passionate that has followed the company, their history and creations.

I have not opinion about Kingdom Hearts, but given the sales, reviews and the fact there is a good amount of people that love it, why that is not considered "great"?

Mickey Mania was the SHIT. I'd pay for a VC version.

Don't forget Disney Meteos!

SO VERY AWESOME!! Loads of game styles crammed into one excellent package. Come to think of it, the Wii controller would be PERFECT for a remake or sequel.

i remember spending hours and hours playing this game:

and the Aladdin game was great too... i loved the level in the lamp

anyway i totally agree with whoever is saying that the first thing we need is a new good Disney Movie.

Capcom's work with the Disney license was simply outstanding. Too bad great licensed games are more the exception than the norm.

MegaDrive World of Illusion needs online co-op play and brought over to PSN and XBLA, ASAP!

People need to stop hotlinking...

Disney should let Naughty Dog/Insomniac (perhaps working together?), Rare, and Nintendo Tokyo develop a platformer that utilizes the Disney license. That way there would be three different and great Disney games on three different systems.

That would be an incredible amount of awesome.

I had this on the Amiga, played it for hours even though the controls were horrific. Being able to dive into the pool of money was fun, though.

It was talked about a while back that it's supose to be a pretty good platformer, need more impressions people.
If it's anything like the GBA games it's an ok platformer. With some non-linear to it as well.

I remember the Genesis version of Aladdin being much better than the SNES one.
Gameplay wise the Mega Drive one was easier and simpler (less exploring, more combat), but the animation was stunning for the time, because the actual movie animators provided it. Compared to the SNES one it really showed off Sega's supposed "blast processing" at it's best.

One of the best platformers ever. The game had some individual levels, depending on who you played with (Mickey, Donald or both). Sweet memories of christmas 1992.

i read a book recently that dealt in some part with the psychology behind fear/learning/comprehension in children's television, and i'm convinced that sometimes when i think about this game that it was so abstract and bizarre it used to terrify me as a kid. still way fun though

Castle of Illusion kicked so much ass back in the day, everyone I knew loved that game. I would love to see what could be done with some high res hand drawn looking games but like the juniors said in this post, alot just dont care anymore. So many kids now playing Grand Theft Autos and FPS its even hard to sell something not realistic and bloody even to young bracket. Retarded but that is way it is for now.

Lion King (PC version too) is my second favourite Disney game (if KH doesn't count)
How were you supposed to beat Scar in that game? I remember hitting him for hours but he never fell off the cliff, despite all my efforts. He just got exhausted after a while and couldn't even fight back!

I hate that game.

Damn that game was amazing. It even had two player co-op!

Cars (which was the 2nd best selling game of 2006) got a sequel.

It's not that bad of a game, I thought. My brother has it for the Wii, the DS, and some handheld learning thing. I've only played the Wii version but it was an okay game, really, though it had TERRIBLE minigames with God awful controls.

That Mickeys Magical Quest game by Capcom kicked ass back then. Especially that Pete's Peak stage. Actually the Capcom Disney games were all good.

Oh man, Chip 'n Dale, Aladdin (both SNES and Genesis), and Magical Quest starring Mickey Mouse were great games. The Lion King game was surprising good as well.

Lol, you had to use the throw move when he was tired.

I'd say you can skip the first Kim Possible game (Revenge of Monkey Fist) but they all get better after that. I own half of them.
