Wow. The Giant Bombcast is way better these days.

They don't talk about games right now because it's pre-E3 and the announcement of 2 new consoles, as soon as the announcements start rolling in they'll probably have 3 hours a day of E3 podcasts entirely about games

IT'D BE NICE if they put timestamps for topics so theoretical listeners didn't have to sit through 2 hours of talking about gingerbread to hear the one thing in the description that seemed interesting.

They should but I'm willing to bet that they finish recording the episode and just publish it without putting any further effort in

See, I'm the exact opposite. I always watch quick looks/live shows, but barely, if ever, listen to the podcast. It's just too LONG. I don't have three straight hours where I want to be listening to a podcast.
Wah wah. It's free. If you listen to it long enough, you can get an idea of when they start talking about games. Skip ahead an hour usually, that's when they start to get on with it.

I happen to like that they talk about things other than video games, not to mention you don't have to listen to it all in one go.

I'm not complaining. I just don't listen to podcasts in general, I actually prefer GB's off-topic sort of stuff. I wish I could sit down and listen to a podcast for three hours, but I just can't do it. I've even recently stopped listening to MBMBaM, and those are like 50 minutes on average.

The thing is, I hate missing funny stuff. I'll be doing other things while I listen, like I'm listening to a bombcast clip right now, while typing this, and everyone just laughed and I have no idea why.

I haven't listened to the bombcast in forever because of Patrick. I didn't realize he was actually leaving, so I'll have to start tuning in again.

I wont make any assumptions about how you schedule your time, but I find myself having plenty of opportunities to listen to podcasts, even with a full time job. Walking to work, walking back home from work, cooking, going to the gym, doing errands, doing household chores, and playing games with the audio turned off are just some of the common situations I find myself in where I burn through podcasts. Even though I also rarely have three straight hours where I want to listen to something, that has never felt like the point of podcasts to me.

Exactly. I don't think anyone is just sitting down in their easy chair, staring at the wall and listening to hours of podcasts. In the car, getting ready, mowing the lawn, cleaning the car, etc. etc. all good podcast time.

Does that mean we'll never get a single reason for Patrick liking Yoshi's Island, and all we'll ever get from his side of the argument is childish huffing? :P

The Bombcast will definitely be far less interesting without Patrick. More myopic and homogenized and less insightful.

Patrick leaving?

Really sucks for the podcast. At least the games discussion. :/

I'm assuming this is a dumb Giant Bomb meme...

The last gaming podcast I'm hanging onto is 8-4 and that's just for mark, the rest of the guys are super generic. I think I'm out, post E3, end of gaming podcasts for good.
