You know what? THAT would actually be really intriguing and would fit Austin's MO too (not giving a damn about anyone, DTA, etc.) Only thing is, I don't think Austin and Nash have any connection. But it could be a good way to introduce Austin to the storyline.
Make up a story that Austin and Nash were buddies in W-C-W.

Or that Austin is just sick of hearing Punk talk on Raw.

Either work for me.

Laughter goes a long way. I think all of my favorite performers have made me laugh at one point or another whether it's being goofy or just making a mockery of their opponent...

Rowdy Piper, Stone Cold, HHH, Shawn, Foley, Rock, Edge & Christian, Chris Jericho, Edge, Eddie...all lols
Ric Flair? Best when he's elbow dropping books!

I still like the serious characters such as...Undertaker, Benoit, etc., but I would say most have made me laugh at one point or another...

Think about Batista. He went from being super serious Batista to "what is your malfunction" Brotista and it was awesome. Same with Joker Sting..Same with Truth.

I do watch wrestling for the wrestling...but overall.. really... IT'S FOR THE LOLz.

One of the best things about Batista was when he did quit, and Justin Roberts says "Ladies and gentlemen, Batista!!!"

This is why I don't watch a lot of indie feds - they don't seem to have the storylines that the WWE has. Sure, we can bash the WWE all we want that their storylines suck or are non-existant, but the ones that stand out really stand out. The CM Punk angle took things to another level, even though it seems they're going to fizz it out in a rather poor way.

beat him up at the hotel they were staying at last year at Summerfest. Had the cops come down and everything. WWE does not enjoy its employees being idiots and causing a scene

If it wasn't for the storylines I probably wouldn't watch honestly. I'd most likely watch Pro Wrestling over UFC any day, but lets face it...REAL wrestling (NOT MMA) is boring as fuck to the average person. It's like in that interview with Shane Helms. Wrestling became a work because not many had interest in it otherwise. They mocked Batisa for saying Wrestling is storylines.. but guess what, to me...it really is.

Sometimes I think I should give Chikara a try.

1.Look at my avatar.
2.Truth.
3. DelRio- he really got me interested in watching week to week after he won the rumble. funny that i hated jbl, but love the mexican version of the same character
4. Christian, I wish he'd go goofy face again, but I'm glad to see him not jobbing every week again
5. Long Island Broski. I was bummed at MITB when he didn't wrestle the dark match. I got Santino tho, so I was content.

So, basically Wrasslin GAF has bandwagoners too?

I go back to this old Rowdy Pipper promo. Something along the lines of...
"Hogan, do you think people would have cheered for you if they didn't hate my guts so damn much.."

The hate for Cena, Vince, Mr H's and just the WWE as a whole feeds the power of the CM Punk and his fan base. He thrives by it, and wouldnt get the same reaction mocking jobbers!

(Yeah a little different, Cena isn't supposed to be a heel...)

I'd love to give Chikara a try because it seems to have a lot of emphasis on their matches and they look like they have a lot of fun with it and don't take themselves too seriously.

Don't get me wrong I love a good wrestling match. I love Benoit, Angle, Jericho, Hart, etc. The guys that can put on a good technically sound match, and I love the odd spot fest (TLC matches). But at the same time, there needs to be a reason for me to care about the match. While it's nice to see that Bourne/Kofi teamed up and beat the Nexus Refugees last night - but why should I care about them? Why did they even team up in the first place?

The WWE needs to go back and re-work the storylines for the non-midcarders. I mean Summerslam only had 5 matches because there were no other real storylines going on - did they finally realize that?

I mean, back in the day on nearly every PPV before each match there was a 2-3 minute intro package showing why we were about to see this match.

Jake Roberts had some of the best story lines, and he never had one god damn title. Rick Martel Blinded his ass, Earthquake killed his snake, he crashed Macho man's wedding party...
He even had a great run against the Million dollar man....

I try not to be too picky, but I understand for sure

Yeah, and? Punk is charismatic and entertaining. I thought he was back in SES but I didn't watch back then and I didn't read this thread. MitB and the weeks before/after changed that.

No need to defend your position.

I just asked a question.

I like lists

1. CM Punk for making me mark out like crazy
2. Daniel Bryan cause he always gives good matches
3. Wade Barrett for getting me back into wrestling heavy with the nexus angle
4. Drew McIntyre (talked about earlier)
5. Zach Ryder for his youtube series

I'll throw in my current FAVEFIVE

1. CM Punk - I was on the fence with him when I first started watching back around this past WM but that promo turned things completely around for me. Amazing on the mic and a decent wrestler.

2. Christian - Not a fan of his current gimmick, but I loved him and Edge back in the Attitude-era and glad he's still doing his thing. He puts on entertaining matches and given the right angle he can be great on the mic.

3. Zack Ryder - The few matches that I've seen have been decent, but more because of how he took the ball and ran with it in his YouTube series and finally got the point where's showing up regularly on TV because of it.

4. Daniel Bryan - Impressed me right away when I got back into wrestling. I love a strong, sound technical wrestler. The only thing that makes me iffy on him is that Michael Cole refuses to put him over and continually buries him.

5. Cody Rhodes - When I was watching Cody vs. Rey at this past WM I had no clue who he was, but he impressed me right away! WHOOOOA-OOOOOOOOOOOH

Here is my Fave Five:

1. CM Punk - Made wrestling genuinely EXCITING again, other obvious reasons

2. Christian - To think this dude was in shitty ass TNA not long ago, and now he is champ at the company he started with. Good wrestler, good personality, team player. A+ for him.

3. Daniel Bryan - They need to continue to push him hard because he's such a fucking good wrestler. Sometimes I enjoy drama more than the wrestling cuz it can be so bland but not when he is in the match.

4. Zack Ryder - Self made fan-base, funny personality, good wrestler, much respect to him

5. R-Truth - The dude can wrestle, he can clearly talk on the mic, he just needs more depth to his character to put him into that upper echelon, that next level. He is SO entertaining. A good worker.

Honorable mentions:

Cody Rhodes - I like how he has transformed
Evan Bourne - Dude is a hustler, I respect that
Del Rio - Always a good time
Ziggler - dude is legit, just needs more time

R-Truth is unwatchably bad and judging by the Capital Punishment buyrate, you guys are probably the only people that like him.

Watch more Bellas.

I agree.

R Truth's buffoonery is pretty bad to me. I just don't like it at all. I didn't like "What's Up" either.

Watch more Bellas.

Time for a new list of Divas, just for you dream:

1. Layla
2. AJ
3. Cytherea Twin Brie
4. Cytherea Twin Nikki
5. Eve

Well heck...I should make a Diva list too. Some will be there just for being hot... but... that's how they are booked!

1)Maryse- hottest Diva since Trish/Stacy. Oui!
2)Layla- much respect for her..not only Hot but has worked hard to become a decent wrestler
3)Natty-looks good, solid wrestler, confident, carries herself with pride...
4)Beth-Likewise
5)Kaitlyn- can't wrestle worth a damn but DAAYAAAAMMMM

honorable mentions- Vicky. Worked her ass off to get in shape, and gets the biggest reaction from any Diva.

Money in the Bank is available on DVD and iTunes today. I'd have picked it up on Blu-Ray, but it doesn't look like it's available yet even though Joey Styles swears it is on Twitter.

Joey Styles knows the Blu-Ray PPV's aren't being offered anymore except for the big 4. He just wanted people to click on his Amazon affiliate link so he gets a cut of whatever people spend on Amazon after clicking that link.

He does that crap all the time. Even did it when Savage passed away.

Everyone should give CHIKARA a try, especially with their very first iPPV coming up in November, there's not much excuse not to.

Great to hear The Young Bucks (Generation Me) and The Dynasty (Joey Ryan & Scorpio Sky) got tryouts with the WWE - if they're serious about rejuvenating the tag division they need more proper teams, not just hastily thrown together jobber pairings.

Bootaaay I know you watch SHIMMER and joshi and shit. Do me a favor and watch the Bellas work sometime and tell me if I'm nuts for thinking they are a fantastic female tag team.
