Smackdown has a champion who gets beat everyweek. Most of it's pushed talent are the "6'5+ Stiffs" that Joey Styles talked about tonight. With the injuries and "defections" there roster is now a Joke. And what do we have to look forward to? Rey vs Henry and then Batista vs. Henry(again). Booker vs Lashely? Great Khali vs Taker??? And we all know that Batista will be the one to overcome and beat Great Khali before Khali gets the boot.
Dude, it's cool and all that you wrote this out, but you're stating the obvious. We've been talking about this for months.Nameless said:Does Smackdown remind anyone of WCW Thunder? WWE.com has learned that Paul Heyman has made an offer to World Champion Rey Mysterio to jump to ECW. The offer was extended in the locker room area after the WWE vs. ECW Head to Head special.
Sources close to the situation claim that Heyman is apparently trying to hedge his bets, meaning that if Mysterio accepts the offer, the World Championship would come to ECW regardless of the outcome of Sundays One Night Stand match between Sabu and Mysterio. Now that Big Show is an official ECW Wrestler, is Rey Mysterio far behind?

There's no pieces to put together. Smackdown has been renewed for 2 more seasons. So unless WWe is pulling the plug early they need to inject some life in the show...BAD.Liu Kang Baking A Pie said:Put the pieces together, champ.

Matlock said:for the record, "ecw on the new cw" is catchy ad copy that writes itself
the last part you are completely right about, but the first part is really moot, and in the end doesn't matter at all. Networks want ratings, ratings determine advertising worth. CW is paying to have a show produced by WWE on the air.Outcast2004 said:....but not what they paid for.
Besides ECW on broadcast REALLY limits what they could get away with.
Biohazard said:If Rey Rey loses his WHC on Smackdown!'s behalf I won't even bother TiVoing it anymore and I mean that...that's like the last fatal blow it needs.
It is kinda sad though, after last night ECW officially has a better roster than Smackdown... not even counbting in future roster jumps like Hardy and Moore

ECW is on Sci-Fi because there is literally no other network for it to go to. USA doesn't want it (doesn't want to be the wrestling station), doesn't want it on any other Universal station, etc. This ECW is certainly unproven, BUT, if they can show it pulling a 1.4-1.5 on sci-fi, and smackdown is pulling 1.8-1.9 on CW (which technically should see an INCREASE in ratings with the increase in affiliate count), don't count it out for WWE to propose replacing the sinking Smackdown (which they are deliberately doing) with the rising ECW.pilonv1 said:And you think ECW would bring a consistent 2.0+ rating? :lol If there was really any demand for ECW they wouldn't have ended up on SciFi. It's just another "invasion" that they will find some way to **** up.

You are asking for consistency in the WWE? :lolthe_geche said:Another thing I noticed- Edge and Matt Hardy were on the same team....
pilonv1 said:Better roster how? I'm not saying Smackdown is better, I'd say it's more even. But when Batista returns they will actually have two guys who can draw money. ECW has Angle (who admitedly counts for 10 men), a sloppy RVD and a bunch of garbage wrestlers who were broken down in 1999, let alone 2006.
Outcast2004 said:Batista has not been a draw of any sort. In fact, he's delivered some of the worst matches and PPV main evnets that Smackdown has ever had.
Even now, ECW has the roster I'd rather watch. Light on the gimmicky bullshit, high on the wrestling with some hardcore brawling mixed in.
