WRC Powerslide (XBLA, PSN) Teaser, out next month.

Ugh, weapons.
Hopefully you can turn em off for sp championships too. Also it needs a VAST amount of tracks

The website says 24 stages. My guess would be that means twelve + reverse. It's a cheap downloadable game though - so hoping for a vast amount of tracks isn't super-realistic.... Unfortunately. If it really is 24 unique stages though, that would be an impressive number (these days).

Looks interesting. Seems like Milestone is trying to make some additional money out of their WRC license by publishing their WRC game on XBLA/PSN with different modes. The tracks are the same as in WRC 3 as far as I can tell from the trailer.

What's stopping me importing WRC Vita is the damn track DLC. While free, I hear the base game is a little light in that regard - and it's only going to be on the Euro PSN stores. Could do without DLC if the vanilla had more meat.

Looks pretty cool. Although I can into the thread expecting this:

Ditto, now I'm infinitely disappointed.
Yeah me too.
When i think World Rally Championship: Powerslide(a common Rally Maneuver) I think Powerslide the game from 1998(?)
I didn't know what the WRC was. It could've meant "World's Really Crappy" or "Woah, Reckless Carnage!"

Quoted from the facebook page:

WRC Powerslide will be available on 8th March 2013 on XBox LIVE® and 13th March 2013 on Playstation®Network!

The camera angle looks cool but it severely impacts visibility. You're either going to have to memorize the tracks fast (which seems to be pretty tough considering how this one looks identical all the way through) or find yourself constantly staring at the mini-map.

You just can't seem to prepare for what's coming next, at least based on that one map. Maybe the full game will be better but that seems like it could be a major issue.

Did you ever play micro machines?

I really like the camera angle gives a really nice view of the scenery especially along that coastal road in the trailer.

Looks great - although I was hoping milestone would continue to support the vita with this as it would be a perfect fit. On consoles I can wait till a sale.

For some reason it kinda reminds me of that awesome old racing game called Ignition. Will check it out for sure.

Just an update on this: It appears Namco Bandai will be publishing WRC3 in North America. It's been rated by the ESRB.

oh? nice! also, this looks like great fun - but yeah, hopefully you can play w/o powerups too

Meh, should've been 800 points.

1200/€15 on PSN seems a bit steep but hopefully there's a no pow mode and has enough content

Nice, although SmokyDave made me a touch sad saying it's the only Vita game he's a bit disappointed by. Still, a rally game is a rally game.

any impressions i can read about yet while at work?

also, re' wrc3 in NA... is this all versions or just vita?

Just did a few races on the trial.

The good:
- Looks great
- Entertaining
- Good range of tracks and cars it seems

The bad:
- Names above cars can't be turned off
- Collisions can't be on without powerups being on
- Handling is quite a bit 'looser' than I would have preferred

Was actually thinking of getting this but no collisions without having powerups activated is the dealbreaker for me.
