Wrestling isn't Wrestling (Max Landis short)

Weird inaccuracies aside, that was neat. Easily the best part was finding the actors/past employers of WWE/TNA/indies in there.

This was very well done, and Cena's music had me on the floor. Even if you're a old wrestling head (like me) there's a lot to like here.

It was a great video, but I think not mentioning WCW and NWO at all was a mistake

What was going on in WCW wasn't really that relevant to the HHH character arc. The video is only dealing with things like characters' personalities and motivations rather than the external factors like the state of the business at the time.

Kevin Nash's and Scott Hall's popularity around the new generation as well as their departure and the WCW and WWF rivalry were pretty important to the rise of HHH

Sure, but that's more in the sense of them leaving created space at the main event level for HHH to move up the card and then HHH being a good fit for the new direction the industry was heading in. The video is just a character study which is just talking about things from a kayfabe point of view. Nash and Hall have had a huge impact on HHH's career, but more in the backstage aspect.

His "Death and Return of Superman" video was laughably terrible, but I will give it a watch. If anything it will also be laughably terrible, although I can imagine what it's about and would be hard to get wrong.

Why was it laughably terrible?

He is a good story teller who makes fun little internet videos. He is also pretty accurate in telling the story for those who didn't live through the event in the 90s.

It's been awhile since I saw the video but I disagreed with most of his opinions about the story arc and Superman in general. Just putting on the video real quick, within the first 30 seconds of the video he shows that he doesn't really understand the Superman character at all.

if you're referring to the "nobody cares about Superman" riff, he admitted he was being facetious and actually likes the superman character

He understands the character better than most.*

*Most being some comic book nut who is ready to tell me every breath Clark Kent took in print, and why everything is wrong.

He is able to straddle his nerd knowledge into an accessible layman story pretty well.

He says he just told it from memory. I mean, most of these "events" took place over like 2-3 years, its not surprising he didn't get it all right.

That was great, really funny. I wish I had daddy's money and connections to throw around to indulge my nerdiness. I'm super jealous of the guy cause he seems kind of talented in his own right as well. The salt is real here.

'People who are better than him.'

In 2000, the time Landis is talking about, HHH was legit worlds ahead of Chris Jericho in every possible regard.

Man... I...

Nah.

I just wish the Cena part was longer it had me rolling

The AT&T girl got to be the Ultimate Warrior lol

I caught most of the cameos with the exception of John Landis and Chris Hero.

It was a stupidly fun video just like wrestling.

Wanted to hate it but it grew on me as I watched

Also, I caught a Titty Master sign in the little fake crowd which had me laughing.
