Doesn't matter what we do or how many times we win and accomplish our own goals in the games story -
the bad guys are always like "ah yes plans are proceeding smoothly, everything is on track."

I'm starting to get real tired of it. It's becoming incredibly lazy and boring.

They need to drag the story.

I hate it too, tbh. Same as the AHAHAH NOW THAT I LOST I CAN TELEPORT AWAY. And somehow and the end they can't teleport away anymore because reasons. 🤔

You know what, it's not a bad event and I like it way more than the 3D cube one from last year, but it's timegated for no reason whatsoever. I wish they'd mixed it up with tetris stuff too but without us moving away from blocks and just playing regular tetris to hit the score.

I mean, I don't hate 3D cube event, it's just that it was way too long, overstayed its welcome and they completely fucked it up in terms of combat. If they'll Mario 64 / Odyssey / Banjo it somehow next year, let us control different characters with unique abilities to solve puzzles and stuff, I'm all for it! Just basically make old school 3D platformer with WuWa characters and you're golden, Kuro.

Also, fun fact - LHR's motorbike was based on Inferno Rider's bike which served as a prototype for it:

I'm getting tired of everything always working out perfectly. Imo a good story has to have protagonists lose occasionally, suffer setbacks, and make comebacks. But that rarely happens in this game. Rover and the waifu of the patch are constantly winning. That's why I found his monologue so cringe, same with Rover's speech about his "failures." One of the reasons why 3.1 was so great is that, for once, they deviated from that formula. We lost Aemaeth, even if only temporarily. 3.0, on the other hand, was a perfect example of this issue. The whole patch built up the Voidworm attacking the academy, but as expected, in the very last second (literally), Rover and Lynae swoop in to save the day before it does any damage. How am I supposed to take the villains and antagonists seriously if they constantly fail at everything they try to do? Oh right, they don't fail — everything is "going according to their plan." Guess their plan is just to get constantly defeated and humiliated by Rover.

In order for stakes, setbacks and alike to be more prominent in the narrative for this kind of game, it has to be something for the most part not related to playable characters and we's seen this multiple times already, perfect example of this in 2.X is Carthy questline and Septimont one, the latter of which included at least 2 unplayable characters and one playable one. So Kuro has already done this multiple times, but it can't happen very frequently cuz then it'll be nothing special, it needs to also make sense narratively, always.

But I guess after this the game decided to reward me with the second and 99% god-like echo for Hiyuki:

+ there's one more (well, two, but I won't have enough stuff for that) echo I can try my luck with (if I'll get enough points) with those things to lock 2 substats and see what happens:

Not holding my breath, but potentially I can have another great echo coming soon. But for now, a bit less ATK but more baseline CR is never bad (especially if CR provided by character's kit have strict conditions and don't work before they're met):

Chase Hiyuki S3 or wait for Lucila?

Currently sitting on Hiyuki S0 R1.

Also just spent around 48 modifiers, about 35 waveplates and ended up with a pretty shitty build on her, extremely average.

Impossible to role a single echo with CD, CR and ATK %. Not even once.

Hiyuki at S3R1 deletes everything solo, so I'd vote for that lol.

Well I dipped and got Frost lady to S3.

Had to dolphin a bit, but managed to save my 360 corals, since I own the 50/50 for the last sequence.

Now we skip Denia, Chisa and Cyberpunk colab, and save for her best case future partner.

And I'm really tempted to create a world exploration team with her and Qiuyuan.

Peak sword fight team :messenger_smiling_with_eyes:

Oh, hell the YEAH!:messenger_horns::messenger_grinning:

Just 25 pulls after furry motherfucker. Now, I'll be saving everything for the CP collab or whoever is coming next after 3.4. Hopefully, what's left of 3.3 rewards will be enough.

I also got very early dupe of EOG for Sanhua (Qiuyuan is using the lvl 90 one) if I'll need her at some point (I might try using her with Hiyuki as a Sub DPS just out of curiocity), and two more almost god-like echos for Hiyuki:

Now her build looks like this as a baseline (1) and with all the buffs active from the whole team (2):

I think that's more than enough for now. Small trade off in terms of CR and HP, but now I've more than enough ER to get her second Ult even faster, a bit more ATK and almost 50% Liberation DMG bonus. Plus, I can just stay in her second form and use CR and CD bonuses if I want to. Oh and... correction to my post about her kit after testing - you can and should use dodge, but without briking her rotation you need all 3 stacks on her sword (to attack 3 times), follow up it with heavy attack and then finish rotation with the final Ult when she charges her sword.

Aaaaand... done! The whole new map is finally 100% cleared.

Easily the best exploration and exploration quests since Septimont. Loved all the puzzles, cool tetris stuff, combat challenges etc. I really hope they make WAY more of these puzzles in 3.5 and stuff to do in the open world. Sigrika's little quest with frozen part of the map was really cool and when you complete it, you can ride your bike on a rainbow highway across the whole map, suck in the atmosphere and look at amazing landscapes - such a nice touch, thank you, Kuro!(y)

Ah, now I can finally go and play more of Pragmata.

Played some yesterday to start working on the map after finishing the MSQ, and I have mixed feelings.

After playing NTE the last few days (it runs so smoothly) and coming back to WuWa the new area is horribly optimized. Low frame rates, pop in, stuttering, ect I also really didn't like this version of the Tetris game controlling a person to move the blocks.

During one of the bike races on the map it had me pass by an area with an NPC and proceeded to initiate the interaction in the middle of the event.

They desperately need to start optimizing the game. It's really starting to hurt my enjoyment.

I did like the pin ball event, so far that's been quick I was worried it would be a slog, but it's moving along at a nice fast pace.

Finally, having a terrible time building hiyuki lol

The whole time I was playing yesterday I just felt like I wanted to be playing NTE instead.
The cyberpunk collab can't come soon enough.

Man, Brant turned out to be a really great investment. He's unbelievably fun to use in Thousand Gateways with the correct build.

Getting all the attack speed ones he becomes a whirlwind of schiaffoni

I thought maybe I was just seeing things, but it turns out Hiyuki's Liberation DOES display a random image from 8 at the end when the ice cracks. Here's all of the possible images:

I just logged in to get the anniversary rewards in prep for the xbox version and saw there's a "back to solaris" event; not sure how it works but here's my code: 333NEN7PNS

Yup, it's random, sometimes also it's 1 image, and sometimes it's all of them in fast succession.

I'd pay 100$ for the lower right variant to be in-game.

They were datamined long time ago. Man, so many better hairstyles here and they went with the worst one imho. Gimme the 3rd one, Kuro!

The first Hiyuki looks like someone who doesnt respect rules and thinks they are meant to be broken.

You have a lot of damage dealers so subdps or supports, strategically Mornye, Shorekeeper and Lynae would be the best. Ideally Mornye and Lynae together or just Mornye with her first sequence. Mornye kind of needs Lynae or her first sequence, but she would be number 1 pick for most of your teams.

For Hiyuki: Lynae + Mornye S0 or Chisa or someone else (id definitely wait here before pulling anyone)
For Galbrena + Lupa: either Mornye S1 or Brant or Shorekeeper
For Luuk: Denia + healer (will most likely work well) or Lynae + Mornye S0 or Mornye S1 + Sanhua
For Augusta: Iuno to free up Verina, not a great value over Mortefi tho, but it also frees Mortefi to be used with Galbrena + Lupa in a no healer team for endgame (high damage, fast enough for lupas enhanced outro, but not "comfortable)
