You act like the iPhone is a phone or something.omg rite said:I slightly understand that. (Slightly.) Since you'd have new games to play all day. But a phone!?

I'm waiting too >:/celebi23 said:I seriously would've thought that the Developer site would be down by now. Nothing has changed on there. No iOS 4 GM yet :/

Also having the 3GS at $99 makes Apple's move very aggressive: they just didn't want to let Androïd gain market share as easily as it did last quarter.

They specifically mentioned the 1Ghz speed of the A4 during the iPad conference. So either they're assuming everyone just "knows" that the A4 is that speed...or the iPhone 4 is using an underclocked version which they don't want to announce.SuperPac said:Apple has never included speeds or amount of RAM in the official tech spec lists for iPhone, iPod touch or iPad.
So look, we know the dilemma you're in. You nabbed that iPhone 3G or 3GS a little late in the game, and now you've got to wait until December in order to snag the iPhone 4 at a discounted rate. Lucky for you, Apple and AT&T have worked to give folks like you a little leniency, with existing AT&T users able to upgrade to the iPhone 4 "up to six months early." In other words, if your current contract expires at any point in 2010, you're now eligible to grab an iPhone 4 at $199 (16GB) or $299 (32GB) so long as you agree to stay faithful to a carrier you may or may not loathe for another two years. Good thing you've got until the 24th to really think it over.

Therefore its name and primary function make it..not it's primary function? Everyone uses it differently, but it's still a phone like every other phone. You buy it from a phone company and pay for minutes to talk on the PHONE. Call it a smartphone, superphone, whatever. It is still a phone at heart, unless Apple has given up on attempting to have a reliable phone in their...phone (yes, blame ATT).krypt0nian said:Phone calls make up less that 10% of my time on my iPhone.
It'd be funny if AT&T is doing this because the iPhone will be coming to another carrier by the end of the year.gcubed said:MEGA

Duane Cunningham said:Is it? The way they keep saying "coming with iOS 4" made me think it a default app, like when OS 3 (or was it 2) made Voice Memos just show up.
I bring it up because I'm still rocking the first gen, which won't get 4.0 at all.
nothing bad can come from that. and yes, he may need the receipt for the apple warranty. give it to him.cnizzle06 said:Thanks, he also wants the original receipt should anything malfunction since I purchased it in November. Could any bad come from doing this? Does he need the receipt for the apple warranty?

We do 3 year contracts hereSo hopefully there is some kind of upgrade option for those who are going into their last year...
teiresias said:I dunno, from an aesthetic sense I love the evolution from the curvy iPhones, but that's the direction HTC has been going for a while, so that's nothing new. If anything I think they missed an opportunity in giving me more screen real-estate and less "negative space" on the phone. IMO, the only thing making the design look dated now is the size of the screen relative to the rest of the device.
