I don't think DoFP is universally agreed to be amazing. It seems, to me, that there's a sharp line between those who want it more like the comics and those who could care less.

The former think it's merely average while the latter think it's the best. So, I dunno how you could rate it above good.

I'll be there day one because i trust Singer but i feel like every damn x-men movie is on damn repeat. Hey we're friends! nope Magneto still evil! kill the humans!! humans are saved! emo professor X, Jlaw still sucks and still probably confused about what side she should be on, new class 2.0, etc

Seriously this xmen crew is supposed to take on and defeat Apocalypse? The younger versions of the xmen could barely beat an 80yo Magneto?

First of all the Nolan Batman films are trash besides maybe Dark Knight, and even that film is mediocre and highly overrated. There are lots of comic book movies better than Nolan's overrated trilogy:

DOFP
Winter Soldier
Avengers 1
GOTG
Scott Pilgrim
Spider-man 2
Hellboy 1 & 2

It's safe to say Apocalypse will easily outclass the Batman films.

That was my immediate thought. Wolverine has been the main draw of the entire franchise, and he's always been marketed front and center. And unlike First Class, he is in this movie. So him not being in the trailer at all is certainly not a coincidence. It has to have been calculated.
