Will their bromance blossom more in this film?

that image reminded me how dumb it looked when fassbender was dressed as magneto at the end of first class. i hope they dont go back to that.

First Class is kinda shit. But I appreciate it for casting such good leads in McAvoy and fassbender and also having Kevin bacon as the bad guy

It's also not as bad as wolverine and xmen 3.

Btw new wolverine movie looks like crap

First Class wasn't bad but they're not really embracing the source material. Powers and battles are handled in a way that is beyond the FX budget.

It feels like it's an unnecessary movie to have right now, but I'll still see it regardless. Wolverine is still awesome.

Same, my Wolverine stannery can't be stopped - but good god the first Wolverine movie was terrible. I can't decide which was worse, completely wasting Deadpool's character, or the general uselessness of Gambit.

First Class is awesome. At worst, it's the second best X-Men movie.

I laughed. It only slightly edges out X-3 because of the the first act's scenes with Erik and Charles. It takes a special kind of shitty film to make Fassbender turn in a bad performance, but in the latter half of First Class, that is exactly what Fass is. The scene where he has to move the satellite dish is bad, let alone the shit on the beach at the end.

What? Sorry but no.

By ignoring you mean reusing the same actors and characters?
From all the pictures we've seen so far it seems to me that they are completely undoing all the shit that fucked up First Class but whatever it's possible that just me hoping this movie can erase that piece of turd from my mind.

Nah son

I just hope this won't be a clusterfuck with all the characters (kinda like X-3).

With all the characters/casting, it would make sense if they split it up the movies into two parts just to give everyone screen time and development (IMO).

Dude, what on earth are you talking about? You must mean X3.

They have four returning cast members from First Class and are seemingly keeping in continuity with it - which is why a good chunk of this appears to take place in the 70s, instead of First Class' 60s.

I must be nuts I guess

edit* I was just thinking about the fact that Singer posted a picture of Beast without the blue fuzzy look, they had Mystique make-up more in line with the Singer films and aren't bothering with the awful Magneto costume that Singer is redoing the continuity to fit he preferences.

Good God. I still loved his Origins film, though.

I can agree with Gambit, but RyanPool was a joy to see in action, even if he wasn't at all faithful to the real DP we know and love.

And what's this with First Class? First Class is right below X2. It's a good movie.

That isn't really changing continuity so much as not adopting the B-grade production values of Matthew Vaughn.

First Class was the apology flowers after X3 and Wolverine Origins. Hopefully Days of Future Past is the awesome dinner out and make up sex and gets us back to X2 levels of awesome.

We dreamed of unbanning the world's most insufferable movie buff.

And we succeeded.

I dunno. I don't think X2 was really as great as people make it out to be. I mean, I know it's like pissing in the wind trying to convince people it's not the best Xmen movie, but yeah. I think First Class is the best.

I actually think Singer stunned the world so much when he made X-Men, and people were so stunned that it wasn't terrible, that he got TONS of love. That whole "Pretty okay quality" superhero movie, at the time, was a huge win for Hollywood. This was before Raimi came and blew the doors off with Spidey, and long before Nolan turned the whole thing on it's head with Batman Begins. Singer got so much love, and then he did another "pretty okay" job with X2, that it is still carrying him today. If I told you the guy who made Superman Returns and James the Giant Whatever was making Days of Future Past, there would not be this long of a thread about it.

Plus I'm convinced that the only people who didn't like First Class are people who have an erotic fascination with that guy from Swordfish. :)

Still the Jokester I see.

So we go from Magneto being Magneto in his you know...Magneto costume to...shitty 70's clothes.

Good job singer.

I had no problem with Ryan Reynolds during the earlier part of the film, it's just when they turned him into that THING, that really just turned me off the whole thing. And to think he was also the final antagonist is even worse.

What you wrote right there doesn't make sense. Magneto looked stupid at the end of First Class. Now he looks swank as shit and you're complaining.

I mean...

70's worst decade with the worst fashion.

God forbid I want Magneto to look something like his comic book self.

Oh right, you don't read comics, you wouldn't know what I'm talking about.

Couldn't agree more. First Class is the best with X2 not far behind. Hoping Days of Future Past can be as big of an improvement to First Class as X2 was to X1.

Will Mr. Singer omit Last Stand from the overall canon? It sucked, and Ratner just came across as smug during and after the film's release. As much as people will savage Joel Schumacher for directing Batman Forever and Batman & Robin, I have to give him props for apologizing.

I appreciated them giving him a suit more close to his comic counter part. I'm not saying I want him or others to be suited at all times, but it's cool to see the movies try and do justice to the comic book suits. X1, x2 and x3 didn't really do justice to suits, whereas first class did a better job.

Fassbender does look good in his casual wear though.

except those two batman movies are better than all 3 x-men movies.
